i agree with u. last time i subscribe to RM68 3gb package last year may 2010. speed hardly exceed 1.3 mbps. average i got is 400-500kbps most of the day except that in the early morning i can get around 800kbps to 1.1mbps.

Until i get fed up, i downgrade to 1.5Gb package on Dec10. To my surprise after two weeks of downgrade the speed was as at skyhigh until today. I got at max 6.4mbps (max) n average 1.8mbps to 5.0mbps ++.

so what u say "I think Maxis is capping RM68 package users" might be true.

Even now i already addicted to it n i still dont think of upgrading to RM68 3gb package again.

Uncapped speed means you're able to utilize full 3G speed according to your modem types (not unlimited data download). The basic modem provided for free only hit 3.2Mbps, to get full 7.2Mbps you need to buy a different one.

As for your low speed issue maybe due to coverage/signal problem? I recently also upgraded to RM68 package but speed still fine as always...

I would like to know whether it is possible for account's stealing? This is because since last 2 days, I noticed that my quota was rapidly depleting eventhough I only used the service once or twice a day (just for light surfing, no heavy downloads or video streaming).

It is like somebody else is using my account eventhough I always keep my modem and simcard in secure place. The logged usage on the modem also show no increment. And it is very disappointed when I found out today that my account already reach its quota. When I used prepaid broadband before, it also happened that Maxis wrongly registered/recognised my mobile number when I went online (checked thru the Hotlink portal).

I'm getting the same thing as you did! 
Got a message today sating I only have 100mb left, checking through portal stating that I only have 160mb.

Can somebody clarify this?? I'm starting to doubt my action of moving to maxis.

i planning to get Maxis BB Freedom 6GB package for my PC , PS3 n Smartphone.
if i download content using PS3 or surf net use my smartphone through Wifi , the data usage also count into Maxis BB Freedom 6GB package quota , right?

After 3 day use Maxis BB 3GB, this message appears. Haha.

Anybody can verify if this prepaid broadband (http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/broadband/prepaidbb_kit.asp) are unlimited or not...?

this is their respon regarding my complain :
if you look closely on the usage pattern, I'd never consume more than 200MB each time I went online. but on the last 2 days, the usage recorded increased drastically (500MB ++ and 1.7GB) and that means somebody else is using my number
