Well, if AW really do let Fabs go, I would highly doubt players like Yaya, Pique, Bojan, Pedro or few other would join Arsenal even if Barca is willing to trade them. Selling our talisman plus captain is like telling players out there, "Hey, we are in deep trouble, if you join our club, you wont win anything because we don't have high ambition."

Honestly speaking, if AW do sell Fabs, specially at such a young age, surely something must be really wrong with him. Although we may get few millions out of it, but I highly doubt that would cover up the negative side of this transfer. Fabs is the prolific player and captain for Arsenal, what more he is only 23 year old. What would fans, other players think of Arsenal if Fabs do get sell? Think about it.

Let me ask you guys, if MU sell Rooney, or Chelsea selling Lampard and Terry, or Liverpool selling Gerrald, what would the first thing come into you guys mind? Surely it would be "This club selling their talisman, must be facing some big problem." am I right?

Although Arsenal is in debt, but this should not be a problem for the club, it not like the bank want you to pay within 5 year or so. I believe the loan is over a long period of time, so there should actually be no rush in clearing off the debt. It like when we buy a house, we ask for a loan, of course the loan will be as long as 20 years or more, so as long as we pay the loan monthly, there actually no reason why we should face any problem with the debt, specially if our income can cover the loan debt plus still enable us to spend on food and such.

Still, I feel AW wont sell Fabs, Arsenal wont sell Fabs, the negative effect outweigh any possible benefits that can come from such transfer. Think about it, playing with Fabs should be one of the reason why we were able to attract talented players to our club, it show our club have ambition.

If Fabs do get sell, in no time, maybe even in the same season, players like Ashavin and Rosicky would leave Arsenal. Heck I think RvP, Sagna, and Vermy would leave Arsenal, may even be in the same season. Maybe Arsenal most loyal player Clichy would leave if such thing happen. Not even 100m pound plus 6 years time can help us rebuild this team.

Wenger don't have to sell him...Fabregas himself want to go.

Well, if tat true, I hope AW and Arsenal should think of ways to keep him. The negative effect is just too negative.

Unless, if Fabs go, arsenal win the EPL and UCL together next season, then maybe it wont be that bad.

Just an honest opinion of mine, hope no one would be offended.

hopefully we get some players from them. Valdes to arsenal  brows.gif

I dont rate Valdes as a goalkeeper, so I would rather not get him.

Btw, lucky the source of the news is from the Sun, if it official from Arsenal.com, then it would really be sweat.gif

yea.. hope arsene not spend to buy young player again..unless he superwonderkid.. or maybe Denilson will say "I can fill Fabregas boots"..
*
If Denilson say that, it would be the joke of the season laugh.gif

I were actually hoping Ramsey to be somewhat be a threat to Fabs position in the team this season when he have a fine string of performance, shame he get injured. cry.gif

30mil for fab(23 yo) is an insult..they buy villa(29 yo) for 42mil..if he really were to leave i hope AW/board nego to maximize the benefit of the transfer.if they were to accept 30mil, is really really really...i dun know what to say..I HATE BARCELONA!
*
Agree, 30m is just too little for Fabregas who is so so so important to Arsenal.

They are paying 42m for villa becoz they really in urgent needing a forward coz to them ibrahim is a flop...

they are paying us 30m simply becoz they DONT NEED fabregas ...They have Jonathan dos Santos, Thiago Alcántara and Sergi Roberto to replace Xavi...It means....THey don't really need fabregas although its good if he can join them so he can be useful somehow if anything happen.
We got Walcott, Bendtner, Chamakh, RVP....why do we need more forward...If he comes....some of our forward will have to sit in bench???  sweat.gif We need midfielders....so it will be good if they let us choose any 3 youth midfielders from their youth system.
*
No, I rather not get one of the midfielder from their youth system. First because we already got few talented midfielder in our youth system, and second I dont want Barca buying back those player when we finish refine them. Sometime I feel Barca make our club look like we are feeder club to them doh.gif

I rather counter offer them by trading Fabs plus 20m for Messi, they want our talisman, then they should give us their talisman too.

Anyway, we should get English players or players from the UK to be our vital players, it seem clubs outside of England have no interest in buying UK born players laugh.gif

Hey guys...

Does it sound so serious?

When Henry left, Viera left.. our talisman.. so if Fab really want to leave, there is nothing we can do about it.. just that hope AW can spend wisely for another Fab.. (Like Goucuff, sorry if wrong spelling)
*
For Henry and Viera case, at least we sell them after they pass their prime by being in service for Arsenal. Fabs on the other hand, he is still young, still so much to offer to Arsenal. That why really sweat.gif Plus, when Henry and Viera leave, we at least have some possible candidate to replace them, Fabs for Viera while RvP or Adebayor for Henry. But tell me now, who look close enough to replace Fabs that is not out injured currently?

QUOTE(buzzfizz @ May 19 2010, 06:42 PM)
Yeah, thats because no one makes the runs. Fab + Nasri is a good combination because Fab always make runs and this would distract the defender and allowing Nasri more space and time for the pass/run.
*
Ya, the odd thing is no 1 is making run into the box when needed this season. Other than RvP, Fabs and few of the more experience player in the team, no1 else making run into the box when one of their teammates is on the ball.

I remember few times, I saw Bendther outside of the penalty box dont know waiting for what when he should be in it waiting for crosses or pass. I remember few time going "Walao, what wrong with him? Why not in the box where he is needed doh.gif " in front of the TV laugh.gif

Anyway, there no confirmation if Fabs really going or not, so let just follow this like the Henry saga. I still remember that season, Henry for 16m sold to Barca when Darren Bent sold for 16.5 to Spurs.

is fabregas confirmed leaving ? ..if he wants to leave,i think aw will let him go easily like henry and others..

but i really2 hope he stays for one more season..
*
Nope, no confirmation.

But if my guess would be correct. There a high chance Fabs wont leave. As long AW and the Arsenal board dont want to sell him, then more than 80% confirm he wont leave, even if he ask for the transfer himself.

Henry and the others case are different, they are over there peak or they easily substain injuries already, so AW let them go.

Brazil for me. Anyways, where does this leave Asharvin if Cole really does joins us?
*
For me, I would think that where does this leave Rosicky if Cole come. I think if Joe Cole come, it would threaten Rosicky more than Ashavin.
