that one should be available when EPL start..the world cup one is old already..check the website when EPL star on the 14th of August..

i have watched teams like as monaco,psg and lyon matches and i safely say that these are more enjoyable to watch than serie a

it has pace and attribute much like epl.minus all the agressiveness and harsh playing thing

So the Community Shield match between Chelsea and Manchester United ended up being shown on Star Sports and ESPN HD..dont know what Astro Arena's Nadi Arena daily news saying the match would be on Astro Supersport 3 and Astro Arena itself..bloody misleading..

BTW..the match commentary team was not the usual Sky Sports' Martin Tyler and Andy Gray..instead they used the commentary feed from the FA itself..hope it's not a sign of things to come as we have had Sky Sports commentary for every Community Shield match before this..

so john dykes gone d, but is it posible for astro to get the new epl channel in to their line of shows/channels??

if yes then maybe we can still have dykes on tele.

well..looking at what is already confirmed, i wont bet on it..i know Singapore definitely will have John Dykes presenting their EPL coverage from the UK eventhough not on the official EPL channel..

What I do already know is that not all matches will be on ESPN and Star Sports..some of the matches will be on Astro own Supersport channel..Chelsea vs West Brom and Liverpool vs Arsenal next week will be on Supersport..and that might also mean we get the crap Astro presenters (except Jason Dasey) presenting EPL..

God I hope we dont get that Roshan Narayan(astro World Cup goatee presenter)and Jay Menon in her stupid skimpy outfits presenting EPL

I have just seen a new BPL ad..at the end of it, it says LIVE ON ASTRO SUPERSPORT 3 n SUPERSPORT HD..
more to follow as Astro will unveil theor BPL offerings in the next few days..

well at least we are assured of proper commentators for the match, while match shows can be muted

Astro has put up Astro Supersport 3 info on their website..it will be on channel 817..
this is their description of the channel



Their site does list the games that will be shown..still to be determined whether all the BPL matches will be LIVE or only certain matches..it will be a real bummer and loss for astro if they could not show all the matches..

Thanks to all that have participated in this thread..since the BPL season is about to start and we now have the answer that astro has open up Supersport 3 to cater the BPL matches, i think this discussion is now closed..however I have open up a new thread where I will try my best to list down as much LIVE BPL matches as well as matches from other leagues and competition to share with others..

All are invited to continue any discusiion regarding football coverage on Astro in the new thread..
