bought this yesterday

user posted image

quite expensive, rm120 (other place shud be rm90+). but the salesperson was kind enough to let me try on a lot of different casings (some shops dont even want to open the box) so i dun mind the price.

i wanted a fliptop design simply cuz im a pretty clumsy person. 'shell'-like casings wont suit me hehe, plus most shell casings wont fit my scosche passport.

the leather n stitching is pretty good, n the fit is very tight. my only gripe is since im not using the belt clip, the hole where the belt-clip screws in is left open so a bit ugly there lah. and also too bad it doesnt come in any different colour. wanted a classic shade of brown instead tongue.gif

im using powersupport antiglare biggrin.gif

i have to say the rgb noise (or rainbow effect, matte effect, whatever u call it) IS there but definitely not as bad as cheaper AG films. it's only obvious when u're looking at something white in colour. im happy with it smile.gif

it's definitely not as clear as clear type protector i must say. but it's good enough for me

My view is:

Crystal clear, to keep yr retina display and YES u're totally RITE!
But then we're leaving finger prints around on the screen. What is the crystal clear for? LOL!  tongue.gif

PS AG may reduce slight quality of display, but it keeps yr finger prints away.
And pls note, PS AG has better and smooth touch compare to crystal 1.  cool2.gif

In the end, its totally up to personal preference.

GOOD DAY!  laugh.gif
*
oh ya, this is a very very good point tongue.gif im using the crystal clear at the back, n i was glad i didnt use it for the front. the texture has too much friction. even the plastic wrapper which the iphone came in feels better lol

what is hd screen protector?use for?

and what mean compatible with retina display?

supposedly has less 'rainbow effect'. if u're talking about powersupport antiglare HD, im using one. still got a bit rainbow effect but not as bad as cheaper SPs. not that obvious unless u're looking at white colour areas

I always though PS Anti Flare anti-figer print was sort of oleophobic.. maybe it doesn't attarct oil smudges as much as PS crystal which I am using.

How the Powersupport Crystal Clear PS? Fingerprint magnet? Scratch resistant?
*
im using PS antiglare (front) n crystal (back). AG is better in preventing fingerprints. i prefer AG because of the smoother texture, feels nicer to swipe. crystal got a bit of friction to it.

no comments on scratch resistance. so far i dun have any scratches

Power Support's Anti Glare SP it wont reduce the retina display right?
I need double confirm.
*
it does. for me, not a big deal, it's still a joy to look at. but i understand some people cant stand it. i pick slight amount of rainbow effect over oily screen any day

is it a matte finish or clear finish? i haven't seen the PS anti-glare in person and would love to learn more about it. most anti-glare/anti-fingerprint in the market are matte finish. but if its matte, it shouldn't have rainbow effect.

you can try the sgp oleophobic SP. oil resistant and no rainbow-ing.
*
matte. i thought all anti-glare have matte finish? same thing right?

clear is the one w/o the rainbow effect. even cheap ones dun have that effect. anti-glare, matte, anti-fingerprint or whatever u call it, always got rainbow effect. but cheap ones are horrible, expensive ones not that bad

thats the main reason why im using the anti glare version ... i CANNOT stand fingerprints haha

so technically i havent really experienced the retina display yet tongue.gif cuz i bought my SP b4 even getting the iphone
*
same here, bought SP before getting the iphone. i havent even directly touch the screen before! after take out the original plastic, instantly apply the SP tongue.gif so my screen still virgin lol

QUOTE(flowerhorn @ Oct 17 2010, 09:40 AM)
lol, its true 94 page and counting... i went shopping and got a Power Support Silicone Jacket set which comes with an anti glare sp. and crystal sp. After putting it on, i feel it doesn't offer much protection aginst dropping ler...scared screen shatter...well at least there is some protection for now untill i find a beetter one.
*
well good protection against dropping will always be bulky. think of helmets; they're always hard on the outside n soft in the inside. that's the best structure to protect something. u dont see thin silicone helmets around tongue.gif

Incipio is definitely a brand worth recommending. Have been using it for 1 month now, it's super tight fitting, solid, and nice to grab hold of. Only thing is that it's pricey =S
*
i think incipio's pricing is reasonable smile.gif
