does wildfire have swype
*

[/quote

Definitely not. Swype is still in beta mode and have not launch direct sale yet, their website says they r now understaff. What they r doing now is working with the phone manufactures like samsung to have swype factory installed into each different models as the extensive testing of the software require lots of manhours which Swype is now using the manufacturer's staff to fine tune their product. Swype is still new, given time I think every android phone later will have Swype pre-installed and become the standard keyboard for all phones.

Added on July 22, 2010, 10:39 pmI am oso a new owner of WF, red one. Anybody tried installing Brut Google Navigation on the WF? Read in the other threads some have installed in their android and it is working fine.

it depends what you want to use the phone for. gps already included in the phone under 'maps'. it is much better than the iphone gps, and extremely accurate. used it today and it could tell that my friend (the driver) was making a u-turn and the direction the car was facing!

I think u must be using 3G which of course expensive. Any chance of non 3G gps software usage like papago or syic. I would like to try but would like to hear from some existing users' experience.

Thank u for all your help in providing the links. I have downloaded and installed working great, just love it. Have not tried the new map though, how is your testing on it. Looks like android cannot use as the notice says:-

"This is custome Papago map is for M3GPS & Eastgear custom version device only; Not for Iphone, Android, WM & Standard version."

Hope your testing can shed some light to this.

Anyone can teach me ?? I downloaded the MFM..and i extract it already..then how do i put into my phone ?? i mean which file and put where ?
*
One solution suggested by someone on the Papago thread:-
"I heard this way works so if it doesnt work for you hopefully someone else can help.
Run the MFM-PPG-C100415a from mfm website.
It will make a folder named MFM.
Copy all the contents of this folder and replace the one in NaviSEA-Maps-MALAYSIA on your android.
Dont make a duplicate, just replace all the files.
In the end you should have a folder named MALAYSIA with the contents replaced by the contents of MFM."

I hope your MFM file is the old one, if it is the new but beta one then it will not work in android or iphone. Just have to wait for them to finish.

Wow, desire thread so active becos of Froyo OTA, keeping my fingers cross for wildfire OTA Froyo update. The HTC site says u should backup before updating, how to do backup without titanium backup on my un-rooted wildfire. Dont want all my applications and software disappearing after updating. Anybody can give some valuable advice on that.

Mine red also and bought 2 months back, no such color fading problem. Could be your sweaty palm. Anyway, just buy a silicon cover and your problem solved. Pasar malam also selling many colors to chose, about RM 12 but I think RM 10 also sell lor....
