How to hard reset the HTC Wildfire

We show you how to hard or factory the HTC Wildfire if something goes wrong

If you find yourself in difficulty with the HTC Wildfire, such as it keeps craching, you can perform a hard reset to revert your device back to factory settings.

Please note that all data will be deleted from the HTC Wildfire as a result of this procedure. This process does NOT delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding.

1. Turn the power off. If your HTC Wildfire is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and release the Power button
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC Wildfire.

Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

1 more very useful tips for all ANDROID user....
Android platform not same as WM or other smartphone platform...which means not really need to use the task kill app to kill running app coz android platform will manage itself...it only need to do when large app running...for normal app jz leave it...

I wrote HTC about some of the problems we have been having with the EVO, namely battery life. Here is the response I just received:

If Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Email, App Updates, or many other things are constantly popping notifications, consider turning some of them off as notifications do impact battery performance; This is done in each app. To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: 1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more 2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour 3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well. HTC has received some reports regarding this issue with the screen seperation, and are currently analyzing the potential causes. Most customers are not reporting any issue related to this problem. The issue appears to be cosmetic and should not affect the operation of the device. Additional information will be provided after we finish our investigation of the issue.
