I have two harddisk for my HP laptop, one installed with Vista another installed with Win 7.
when i want to change operating system (from vista to win 7 and vice versa)
i just need (1) shut down the laptop (2) open the back cover and swap the harddisk and re-start the system again.

now i feel that the Vista is faster and smoother than Win 7.
(1) My Vista was just installed last week and it is protected by hardware firewall all the time.
(2) My Win 7 was installed a month ago, when connect to internet most time i just use HSDPA modem without hardware firewall.

wondering is it because my Win 7 is infected with malware/trojan that causing it slower and less smoother than Vista.

I think window 7 is good to use because Some of the new features included in Windows 7 are advancements in touch, speech, and handwriting recognition, support for virtual hard disks, support for additional file formats, improved performance on multi-core processors,[1] improved boot performance, and kernel improvements.

Tried connect a blu-ray drive to Win 7 laptop and playback Blu-ray movie on it but the playback is not smooth at all, and the CPU usage showing 100%. un-install and re-install PowerDVD 8 download/install new update but the result remain the same.
(the laptop is power by Centrino Duo)

After that i sweep in a Win Vista harddisk.
This Vista was just newly reformat harddisk re-installed Vista from the installation DVD and haven't connect to internet yet.
I tried connect the Blu-ray drive to it and playback blu-ray movie on it.
Guess what, the playback is very smooth, and CPU usage is below 30%.

Obviously there is something wrong with my Win 7.
Note: This Win 7 was installed many months ago, use it to surf internet everyday.
scanned this Win 7 with NIS 2010 but didn't find any infection.
Uninstall NIS 2010 install Microsoft Security Essential and run full scan also didn't find any infection.
Also already run ccleaner.
So what is the problem causing my Win 7 slow.
Only one explaination.
My Win 7 is infected with Malware.
This Malware is so advance that even NIS 2010, Microsoft Security Essential also unable to detect.

Now i have to re-format the harddisk reinstall Windows 7 once every few weeks.

Windows 7 hands down. And we can simply call win7 "the better version of Vista".

but dat doesn't mean vista are not good. For me vista(i use sp2 on my 3rd rig) are as stable as win7. Using for a year and a half without any prob... Seven rig already got formatted 2 time this year alone tongue.gif

Hi all. I want to test Win7 Pro (OEM) in the office to see if it's compatible with several specialised programs for my industry. If Win7 doesn't work and I uninstall it, will there be any problems when I install it on another PC and register it? Is there a limit to the number of install/uninstall for testing?

I seem to recall that the retail version for Vista or XP has no problems with that but the OEM version will. Does that still apply to Win 7?

If you just want to test Windows 7 on your office environment, why don't you just download and install the Windows 7 Enterprise 90-days trial? That'll save alot of money because if you installed and activated an OEM version, you won't be able to install and activate it on other computer later. OEM restriction applies even to Windows Vista and Windows 7.
