QUOTE(maskedchan @ May 20 2010, 07:59 AM) bro, in my mind, bollywood movies is hide hide in the tree n sing sing onli.. Check this review. You can softcode your mind hardcoded in my brain..cant change already... Catch up viewing on older titles. Slumdog Millionaire PQ is stable throughout. Golden Hues and some colour timing corrections done by Danny Boyle. However, the details are pretty solid. Did not catch any artifacting or aliasing. AQ is a good test of sub qualities for tightness and bass accuracy in a film track. Soundtrack has LFE moments that will not test how low ur sub can go but how well it handles the soundtrack. Drum beats good and solid. Surrounds used very well and effective. All in in all a good PQ/AQ title. Movie is pretty ok. Very good acting, from the kid actors to the main actors. No real melodrama, a simple love story and a rags to riches storyline. Danny Boyle stays clear of traditional Hindi movies except at the end. But Boyle tends to do that in his movies anyway. Sunshine comes to mind. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ May 20 2010, 10:35 AM) i thought sludog millionaire is hollywood production? Yes it is, the co direction in India by Loveleen Tandan shows they can make quality films too. Btw, no doubt as anfieldude mentioned , the blu-ray PQ is awesome. I watched it like 5-6 times. Never got bored. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ May 21 2010, 05:33 PM) Use the Visa Exchange website and add 1 - 1.5% transaction fee imposed by the bank, that is the closest. Based on the day when they charge ur card. 1.5% i guess imposed by the bank and plus the rate is taken from the day itself not when an order is placed. Buyers should be able to check when they have made orders and when the card was cleared for transaction. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ May 22 2010, 05:41 PM) why no buy from bro sky? Working on the FAQ still, hadn't had chance to research in detail. MC, my supply doesn't sell Bitwel BD's. Bitwel BD's ..better get from Yesasia.fulamak...so fast can search out so many website.. this should put on FAQ...right bro kianwee? Cheaper than any supply around the globe.. QUOTE(fadthil @ May 22 2010, 06:01 PM) Watching widescreen (2.35:1 and above) on a 16:9 HDTV isn't that bad as compared to watching one on 4:3 tv like before. Steven Spielberg comes to mind, he loves 1.85:1 aspect ratio... with few exception of course. I second your concern, oso i dont like to get interrupted with Sub during FS , 2:35:1 , still ok with black bar ..at least a space given for st's.If you ask me which one I'd prefer, I'd say 2.35:1 ratio because I like to watch my movies on bd wif the subtitle on... so at least it won't interfere more with the image on screen This post has been edited by sKyWiR3pT3lTd: May 22 2010, 07:02 PM |

Anyway..i wanted to sincerely apologize to everyone for delaying the FAQ. I'm now the focal point for MS Exchange/Lotus Domino since my boss off sick for the next 3 months. I'll try my best to get this done soon. Also need your input on what are the FAQ's that i can include. I've only managed to go through v1 so far. Got 6 more version to go through. Just heard directly from Muzlim Kapasi at 'Excel Home Videos'. For those who may not be familiar with 'Excel Home Videos', they are the one's who released the really nice and very successful, 'Special Collector's Edition DVD' set of 'Lagaan', under license from Sony Films, with the blessings and participation of Aamir Khan. They are also, who Aamir Khan turned for help while mastering the DVD for his own 'Taare Zameen Par', even though T-Series were the actual home video distributors of 'Taare Zameen Par'.
Just some teaser information QUOTE xXx: Is there any chances of a Blu-Ray release of 'Lagaan' anytime soon? If so, how soon can we expect the BD to be released? Any details on technical specifications and extras to be included? xXx: Blu-ray of Lagaan is being encoded in 1080p and 5.1 HD Master Audio. All of the DVDs bonus features, including the National Award winning Documentaries in 2-Disc BD50s. Plus there is some material being reviewed and debated for additions into the Blu-ray- it will take some time... |
