That's a very good review and practical too. It's quite surprising to see a recent survey showing IPAD beats netbook in terms of preference. Maybe that's in the usa, but not asia where the price of netbook is much much cheaper if comparing the specs eg. screen size, processor, hdd, etc..

I think the ipad is very suitable for those on the move or travel a lot... requiring wifi/3g, quick start and portability.

As for people like me, daily work/home and usual local routine, it is a cool device to have if have $$$. The 16gb wifi is the max limit for me (US retail price ~rm1600), anything higher specs especially 3G model is an overkill, just to surf, play etc.

Curious, how long does it take to transfer own videos/documents from pc to ipad in terms of MB or GB? Few minutes to upload to net and few minutes back to ipad?

How does copyright work?

If got 2 ipads, can share same app in both device? Is it protected based on device IME or software serial no. or based on itunes account?

If there is a + sign on the price box in iTunes it denotes a Universal app which can be used on both iPhone and iPad. Most of the apps released currently is either iPad only or iPhone/iPod touch only (*no harm in running these on iPads but fugly), hard to find universal apps.

So in theory friends and family can share apps just by using same itunes login.

Yeap you can use the same app on both devices provided both sync to the same iTunes account.
