To all iPad gurus out there, I'm asking a friend to get an iPad for me when he's back from Australia in next few weeks. So would appreciate your help since I can't go thru the entire thread.

1) Could he claim tax rebate since he's a student there since last year Nov? If got how much? - Checked at another thread, seems ok.
2) Could we tether 3G services from an iPhone? Or should I get the 3G model instead.
3) Does the package comes with an iPad dock or sold separately?

Just called some of the retailers in Singapore and all of them reports that iPad sold out!!!

Went to Epicentre @ Wheelock Place and The Ion (Orchard Rd) and both stores didn't have stock. Next week perhaps.

Anyway visited Sim Lim Sq and Far East Plaza, those "gray" shops are selling the iPad at $100 - $200 markups!!! Dang...

Damn!!! I went to Epic @ Bugis ard 3pm.... they were still out!!!

Well you could try SimLim (just like Lowyat).... those grey resellers are selling it at markup of RM350- RM450 (including) gst.... no luck at any of the Apple resellers.... I give up trying and just asked a friend's favour to order it online..... easier that way....

Nope..... has been waiting for awhile now..... but prefers to get SG sets (for warranty purposes).... When scouting at SG for the last 2 weeks and finally asked a friend to order online for me. We tried it earlier but when we wanted to key in the CC details, the server is out on updating status.... wonder what's new in the store? More launching in various countries?

Got my friend to place the order online at www.apple.com.sg as he has a SG CC and Add..... sighs, I had to wait till 26/08/10 while there are ppl in SG are reporting to be able to purchase it from resellers, thou still at limited stocks... And I have a hunch, iPad may land at MY very soon....
