Would be damn cool if the AR.Drone had low lux or day/night cam installed instead. I'm quite sure someone will come up with the mod kit for this.

I use Joikuspot quite often and yes it does drain the battery very fast. Best to have it on the charger at the same time.

QUOTE(gryp_enigma @ Aug 4 2010, 10:51 AM) dear all, From what I can see, the only problem using a US version of iPad 3G might be with Celcom's network. If not mistaken Celcom has a few WCDMA-900 base stations and the iPad US version does not operate at this frequency on UMTS.i'm a noob in apple products, so getting an ipad will be my 1st apple product, and probably i'll get the iphone 4 later. Need to check with you guys, if i buy the 64GB 3G Ipad from US, will the 3G band same as the one we use here in Malaysia? I've checked the US Apple website and compared with SG Apple website, it is clearly shown that both are the same specs. Is just that i heard rumors saying that if we were to get the Ipad 3G version from US, when come back to Malaysia to use, it will only allow you to use 3G, but at EDGE speed only? Is it true? Hope you guys can clear my doubt as I'm planning to get this either this month or in Sept. Thanks all! Best bet would to get an Asian or European iPad as they have 850Mhz UMTS enabled which allows you to work mostly with carriers in this region. |

QUOTE(beavis68 @ Aug 4 2010, 05:01 PM) as far as i know all the iPad 3G model is the same.........u check the US spec here ---> http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/ Yes you are right, I admit I made a mistake with the 900Mhz iPad frequency. I misread somewhere that there was actually two SKU's for the iPads but apparently it has not been the case. It seems to be the same for all iPads. But I stand correct on the WCDMA-900 issue that Celcom apparently uses at some areas.Asian spec here ---> http://www.apple.com/sg/ipad/specs/ all is the same. either u have US ipad, Korea Ipad or European Ipad 3G.....it's all the same......and even u inset whatever telco sim it will perform the same.....(speed will be depend on your telco signal) i never heard of differences between US iPad 3G and Asian Ipad 3G.. |

Hi peeps, not sure if this has been answered before. Has any comparisons been made between the three telco's with respect to the best plan for the iPad 3G which contrast between heavy and light users on 3G.
I am contemplating which telco to use as I'm a light 3G user as the iPad will mostly be at home. |

@tinkerbel
I don't mean by constantly on the move, what I meant was I will not want to be stuck to WiFi all the time. No doubt there are one (or two) telcos out there that are better in terms of coverage (not necessarily reliable though) but its the comparison as to price, prepaid, postpaid, cap etc. I'm sure there are other uses here which are in a similar situation. Anyhow, I might just go with Digi postpaid Smart Plan RM58/month with 3Gb cap. With Digi prepaid for example, besides the obvious how else would one subscribe to daily unlimited internet (RM5/day) if its not possible (yet) to SMS on the iPad. |

@ak47d
I think that'll be the way to go, no point paying RM58/month if I'm not going to use it all the time. the RM15/7D is 7 days in a row? |
