Yes...from KT airport to Merang Jetty may need around 40min on transfer.
All the resort boat will be depart at around 9am-10am in the morning, any customer that coming late will be request extra paid for the boat transfer, some resort even ask you charter the whole boat RM400 per way.

This is because all the boat for resort is alraedy prepare to birng customer snorkeling in island so they may need to request extra boat from other company that's why the price is high. I'll storngly encourage you change to morning flight to prevent all this kind of problem.

We are regret to inform free trasnfer from KL to Island is only available on Sunday and Wednesday check in. Your travel date is on weekend (friday check in) so the price will be RM 450 for twin (2 pax), RM 390 for tripple (3 pax) & RM 360 for quad (4 pax)
