Wonder who voted for Alienware, I admit they have weakness but is it really the WORST?
Looks like a vote war between Sager and AW users...

QUOTE(atukbaru @ May 17 2010, 10:20 PM) acer is fine based on my usage 2007-8. The earlier models were crappy. 1. For VAIO and Apple, nobody's complaining about the price. It's the performance you get after you've plunked down 5-6k for average specs. HIGH-END price, MID-RANGE specs. Not worth it. Period. Those who voted for VAIO and Apple need to get a life. Those are HIGH-END laptops, hence the price. I have used HP, Acer and Toshiba previously, and I found my new Apple a world of difference compared to my previous laptop. Nothing beat Macbooks in terms of design and quality.. You can't degrade a laptop just because it's high-end. If you guys don't care about the brand, just price vs. hardware specs, then just go custom make your laptop- let it have no-brand... I'm sure it'll be several hundred cheaper than several brands. Macbooks rock btw(I'm using Win 7 on it)..... 2. Good luck managing those temps of yours. And even though I own a laptop with a slot-loading DVD, I'll admit it is seriously annoying. I'd take a tray-loader over a slot-loader anytime. 3. I don't think you can "custom make" your own laptop... If we could we wouldn't even be having this discussion in the first place. 4. What's the point of buying a Macbook if you're going to run Win7 on it? The only thing Mac has going for it is its OS and the nice software included (which is much better than Win7). By doing that, you just took away the only good point in favour of the Macbook, besides the sleek design. Great job on that. |

Haih. Rich ppl like dat la. Buy Macbook and run Win7 on it...
Well, if my Acer/Dell goes to hell because it's made in China, at least I can still change the batteries without voiding the warranty. This post has been edited by nitevision92: May 18 2010, 09:58 PM |

We should start a thread that collects infromation about the worst laptop models, what problems people have experienced etc. Then we can be fair.
For example: X Brand notebook Y model | Problem | Action taken by X Brand | QUOTE Ok larrr... I back off... i know my laptop so lame till cannot see worm in Farmville. /like. LOL. This post has been edited by nitevision92: May 19 2010, 09:39 PM |

BMW with Kancil engine. 'Nuff said.
If he wants to Back on topic- Acer's quality improvement over these years has impressed me. Solid products now, far cry from those defects we saw a couple years back. |
