Compact is just basically loose powder compacted in a easy to carry container.

Loose powder - use at home after your foundation to get rid of shine. Or if you're like me and lazy to use foundation most times - use loose powder a few mins after moisturiser with no foundation.

Compact powder - carry along with you for touch ups for when you get all shiny, lol.
