Hey guys ! I want to ask your opinion. Which is better ? Xbox 360 or PS3?
Explain your answer .

The reason i create this poll is i thinking to trade my PS3 with Xbox 360.
Since Xbox 360 have cheap game
Well, i just a student, so don't have cash to buy more game.
Need to ask you guys first then maybe will consider harder .

Well, first thing is you're asking in the wrong section.

I was considering either one when I had a chat with a friend of mine.
In the end I decided on the PS3. I liked the games that was only exclusive to the PS3, which I know I will regret if I bought the Xbox 360 instead.

The other thing was that I like to play online, the Playstation Network being free was the thing that tipped the balance for me.

Though I understand that the Xbox 360 have cheaper games and I guess you know why but then I kinda miss the old days, where I had my Sega Megadrive and games on cartridges was as expensive as the PS3 games now. I still remember how much time I spend on a particular game and the memorable moments on it after mastering the game unlike when I got the PS and PS2, where there is too many games, and I only spend a short amount of time on each one of it. Most of it I didn't even play it at all.

Anyway, that's the reason I prefer the PS3. But then if you can afford it, I would still say getting both would be the best choice as some games are better on Xbox 360 like Bayonetta for example.

its really simple. xbox360 with cheap games can't play online. to me online multiplayer is everything. i won't sacrifice that for cheaper games. i choose playing with humans anytime of the day then playing with a machine.

well, now i have only 2 games in hand.
that's is why i thinking to get xbox 360.
as i say, i only a student. Hard to buy a game now
If i get xbox360, at least i can play Splitscreen with my brother.

my internet connection a bit slow.
i use P1W1MAX at Rm49 a month.
All my brother sometimes say " apalahh, baik simpan ps2 dari simpan ps3 "
the reason bcos i only a student , so shorten in cash.
no cash to buy a ps3 games.

if online multiplayer is not a plus for u, but instead u don't mind local multiplayer, then go ahead buy the 360 with cheap games. but u can't change your mind anymore after u made that decision. if in d future u wanna go back online, u again have to seel your 360 and buy another console. u can't have your cake and eat it all yourself

well after SPM i thinking on getting back PS3.
And actually i seldom play my ps3 nowdays.

i have a secret. i can buy one game and it last pratically forever. i know i am working, but its not that i have no money to buy games, the main problem is i have no time. so when i buy a game, i be playing it for months before i am done with it. and with online multiplayer, the game is always fresh coz u learn new things from your friends out there. same game, but new fresh way of playing. it's a vicious cycle, it just doesn't end....maybe if u thing of games that way it won't be so hard on your pocket. u don't need quantity, just quality will do.

with that, maybe your solution is to change your p1 to streamyx that support better online gaming. your game don't get bored easily when u r playing with the world.

But i can't just think about myself.
I buy mine PS3 because 2 of my little brother shared their money also.
Now they already too bored to play these PS3
I don't want they feel like they wasting money bcos sharing money with me to buy PS3.
So, i think Xbox360 with cheap pirate game is the solution

Yeah totally agree with this guy I'm playing Modern Warfare 2 online multiplayer untill today every nite since I bought it last time for RM130 used from friend never get bore of it.....I have 2 more game god Of War 3 & Killzone 2 but play it one time only never touch it anymore...u don't need quantity, just quality will do.

in that case..share money withyour brother and buy yourself another 360.There a re few here willing to sell it 2nd hand.Cheaper than buy NEW one! you can get cheaper price!..plus some of them forumer even give you their free games cd..!

Yea. Kinda understand his dilemma of having 2 younger brothers.

I have 2 younger bro and sis, though not directly blood related.
They only come over during the long school holiday.
That's why lucky I still have the PS2.

They get bored easily with the PS3 as I only have a few games on it and the games are probably too complicated for them to play. They don't like playing online either since they keep getting pwned on COD MW2, MGS Online and Uncharted 2.

So usually bro would play dota on my pc (he can be my mentor by now) and sis would keep switching games on the PS2, while I have the PS3 all to myself.

trust me if u go for quantity, u fall in the same trap that is causing your dillema now. and i don't think high_bloods suggestion is good. look at it this way, all u doing when u playing games is moving the analog stick and mashing buttons. anybody will get bored doing that after a while. so what will keep u going? trust me is not more games. its learning from your online friends, or your local multiplayer friends (but local is limitted). is that satisfaction that u are continuosly improving (although at time u think u r not). its that leaderboard that u see when comparing your skills with others. its that waking up from sleep and discover an idea that can improve your game stats. is all that. i know u can do that without online multiplayer, but with online multiplayer its better coz its humans (that are way better then your brothers) that u competing with.

well i only have PS3 and PC.
PS3 : have 2 game only
PC : have 4 game which is DOTA, Counter strike, Half life and other 1 forgot.
Yes my PC is a lame pc
i also already bored with all these.
Plus Xbox360 have lot of game that i love.

As an ex-owner of X360, yes, modded X360 is good for you to test out games but the monthly online subscription + RROD (i kena twice in 2 machines) + banhammer (kena ban twice) is making me lose more money than buying a PS3 + original games + free online + better quality product (no YLOD or anything as of now after 9 months)

I have bought about RM1K worth of X360 games (ori + pirated) but i can frankly tell you that i didn't touch more than half, some i tried for 1-2 hrs and never touch again etc.

I understand ramz. He is like me. We're the type that prefer to play online with players and there is already no turning back as we're already hooked to it. I might be even worst since I play World of Warcraft. So I love the interaction with other players even more.

As for your case, how long to go until your student life is over?
If there is like 2-3 years to go. I think it is quite feasible to get a xbox 360 already.
You have a lot of time to play as a student so you would love to have more games to play with your bros.

But beware, don't play until your grades fluctuate ok?

You better check on xbox 360 problems that you can encounter.
Probably do some reading on the xbox 360 section.
The Red Ring of Death is rather scary and unlike a PS3, you can't send it back to the manufacturer to fix.

thinking out of d box, why not a wii? u don't get banned online on the wii, u get all the free games u want and don't want. playing local multiplayer is best experienced on the wii (yes, it sure beats xbox360/ps3 for local multiplayer). the things r d games lah, which r more family oriented. BUT (a big but), there ARE mature games that r of excellent quality, just not in big numbers. there is a bit of hassle maintaining a modded wi, but is the same hassle as a modded xbox360

Every weekend when I bring back my xbox with 1 booklet of games + 4 controller.... I'll be greet like a VIP...
And I know I won't get the same service if I bring back my PS3 + 5 games...

If possible I would like to own both of it. Why? Because both have their own exclusive game. :

Currently own a PS3. Talking about buying original. If you cant afford it,you can always sell your used games to the others. You might lost RM5-RM10. So basically you are just spending around RM30-RM40 a game. If you are buying used game it might be even less.

hmm, i checked about xbox360 .
Looked like got 3rrod or anything like that.
a little scared also if want to trade with used console.

Currently i prefer my ps3 more than my xbox (no mod) because:

1. More AAA titles + Ps3 exclusive for the past 1-2 years
2. Bigger community than the Xbox community on LYN is pretty dead.. just have a peep there and u know what I'm talking about. Gaming has grown to a more social aspect compared to the past since internet has been around
3. I get to watch rented HD on blu-ray
4. Free online capabilities for now (although Xbox is a greater experience and much more stable platform.. so pretty neutral here really actually)

Anyway student, no money is just excuse for you to justify going the pirate way. But in no way that is wrong because that is your choice. Just be happy of the choices u made. That includes all area in your life ;D

Brand new ps3 games you buy, you can finish it off quickly and sell it off RM20-30.. 20-30 bucks for 1-2 week entertainment is pretty much sustainable for secondary school student.

If you say u buy many many pirate games.. the most you can complete 2-3 games in the week? If you can actually play so much. then you are seriously neglecting your studies as well. No brainer here.
