Yup, Vostro 3700 is a good buy for a laptop that is 17" and under RM3k ..the spec also good for another 2 years running

Yup, seems like its not going to be in MY ...its already and end of June, 3820/5820 should have arrived on shore around mid-June...the only way to get the unit is from our neighboring SG

If you can wait then wait, if can't then just bought which suits you the best for now

Looks like Dell Latitude is your only choice for now as mostly all laptops available in market doesn't comes with Serial Port anymore (rarely people use this thing now except for those that works in Networking )...
