sory if i sounded harsh, but its quite true u dun reli nid hood on kitlens, or Nikon will provide it together
but i wont stop u frm buying la, it does help a bit when shooting outdoor under strong sunlight

theres no firmware update for D5000 at d moment...
not too sure whether can mod firmware or not...

Hey guys.... wanna ask some advise and opinion from u all, I think upgrading to D90 (add around Rm300 from selling my D5k) and get a 50mm 1.8D lens, or should I stay with D5000 and get a 35mm 1.8G lens instead?? please advise.....

how about your hdr image?

if you have a tight budget and don't think you need many features, then the D3000 would be useful. but if you have the budget, i'd suggest you go for D90 instead of D5000. the built-in motor helps a lot.

it depends. like wat kenji mention, mix of bright and dark light, u can hdr portrait /w a nice background. remember seeing 1 here but dunno which thread.

just use AEB function u can find in yor cam function, it will auto adjust the EV and shutter speed.

Still HDR-fever here.... how sad i cant even get out to snap some pic... 13days to go ... T.T
