Personally I don't like it, unless the counter show good past track record and dividend reinvestment is done via good discount on the new share issued.
If based on market averaga share price, no point.

It is like become a constant "right issue" whenever dividend payment time. 

What I fear most is one day, company short of capital, then change to compulsory reinvestment and then still tell shareholders, hey I do give you dividend as usual.

There is no tax advantage for the reinvestment also.

I understand the issue of need of capital to meet the requirement but somehow the reinvestment can be artificiall become a right issue which company don't need cash standby to give dividend.

I think getting cash is better than getting odd lots converted from dividends.

Unless you do not mind to keep for the next gen.

Tax is pretty sure liao.
Use the single tier money (aka dividend after tax amount) to buy the equivalent share. Imputation system will become dinasour soon.
As accounting rule cannot be changed simply by company.

No tax benefit in between.

I have no Maybank share, so not eligible.   

Most of the time, I pretty upset whenever company want to take shareholders/our money one. 

Ya, Sky highlight another major disadvantage, plenty of odd lot issue arised. Odd lot has lower value as compared to market price generally and has lower liquidity.

I thought this one already announced on 30/03/2010.
Hehe... not very sure about that, maybe is my mistake looking at them announcing in the FS for 1Q'10...

3.80 or 4.20 not a big different, usually IPO is not easy achieve the "fair value" given by IB........
maybe it will going below 3.80 soon

Some updates on casinos in Singapore:

SGD70mil levy was collected from both casinos as of 10 May so its about 700k Singaporean/PR alone visited both casinos not including foreigners...

STI closed at 2,776...-68.35 points

True, i don't think 100 is a problem for Singaporean/PR to go in casino so it is considered as a good news for both Genting SP and Sands...

Maybe can go in and play contra for a few rounds.
