After watching the in-gameplay video.
Few screenshots and read how the game works, I'm liking the game alot. It's actually quite nice thou, it would be even nicer if they make the system which allow us to pvp not just pve with other online peeps. Since the game has no lvl it's all depends on how you use the skill and your items. I heard how you buy/gain your items would be the same thing as gunbound, play alot of rounds earn your money and buy them. Actually there is a lvling system in game, you get exp by soloing quests , or pvping(wich is a main part of the game) , you also buy equipment from a shop, it will probably be free even when its commercial ( kinda gunbound). Well if you guys want to know a little more there is the nº1 english fansite (wich im part of) and we have already some nice info Rakion.org . Hope to see you guys drop by. peace

Hmmm the website you supplied is for Rakion Online English version? And if I am correct the open beta is about to open soon? Are there forums for the site? Usually they announce things faster in the forums as compared to the website.

yup i agree... you have to click enter game quickly or get kick out.. but the funniest part is that the program kick us because joining a game with more than 300ping but i join a 54ping game... weird huh?

apparently the closed beta will be...closed until next wednesday to fix some bugs. like, aren't they suppose to only do this AFTER the beta. that's the whole point of having a beta session in the 1st place, no?

you know you can go on solo quests to earn extra gold and experiences?
well for those who don't, create a room, select gameplay as Stage (if i remember right), pick 1 of the many levels there and try to beat it in the fastest time. if u've achieved Rank S (which is the highest ranking you can get)in any of the levels, don't think you can replay it over n over again to collect more gold or exp. it doesn't work that way. |

My pc requirment is ok... 768mb of RAM, GForce FX 5200.. But lag of processing time.. My CPU onli 1.6GHz... By the way, any of u guys using Zone Alarm?? I have 2 shut down my Zone Alarm when i play Rakion, if my pc will hang when loading.. |

the PC requirement bluff cock wun la. i'm using a 1.5ghz Athlon.. can play just fine.
at 1st i did not enjoy the game. it felt like playing Gunz plus i was getting pwned up,down,left,right,all around. haha. then out of boredom, no choice la, play only. i only started enjoying it after a few rounds of Golem Wars. played til late at night, went to sleep n tot can continue tmr... mana tau next morning wake up, KNN game closed down  ||| |

well, your loss dude tho Gunz was crap anyway. nothing compared to Rakion.
it might've been what kind of game & map you started in. try playing Team Deathmatch + Cage map. Cage map so far is the most comfortably designed map. not too big to get lost yet enough space to play hide & seek. lol. |

actually i think it's pretty much similiar to Survivor Project in a way.
Teammatch, Solo Match, and Stage(Quest), every character has melee and long range attack abilities, but dun have snow balls, football in Rakion lar... ahaha... The sort of creature summoning part remind me of Chaos Legion |

Today I tried to open Rakion but it come out a message.
"What what This game is not opened in your country yet" I think that it's the ip problem so I dc and reconnect. It worked. But the old problem came back "What what network circuity problem" Anyone experiencing this? |

Problem solved after patching.
I hate the Up+Up+Left Click combo. They should make the delay shorter for the up+up, always make me when stop, walk and slash, then I rush up, then I lost a kill. Anyway, should we make a name list of who you are in Rakion. |

yaa..i did encounter an "invinsible mage.."
the player tat can zip around very fast wan, i think they increase their movement speed.. i've seen a swordman & assasin move very fast... |

Even theres hacks and stuffs, people will still continue playing. Some might have difficulty tolerating the nuisance of the connection but some might still play on. Theres not much of a choice of good online games these days = /.
Either some are boring or some have difficulties operating them or just to hard costly to obtain them. |

Hei after the patch the dragon glitch doesn't work anymore!!!

i just played the game, and well it wasn't what i expected
i guess there's too much strategy involved, cause i'm just looking for a nice mindless action game maybe the player vs npc part of the game is good, but i haven't tried it i like the ping filter the game implements though every other online game (like gunz) should follow suit |

well, as i said earlier, gunz is a mindless game which is fun at times

yea, lag in gunzonline is horrible
Also, there's a loophole in their lag prevention system... you'll be automatically kicked out of a room if you ping anybody in the room above 300. The problem comes when 1 person in the room is lagging and prevents anybody from joining =S |

nope. u dun need portforwarding. unless u have a problem whereby all the server ping is 999. sometime u cant join because one of the player in that server have a high ping. thats all.
heh... some people really hardcore in this game. i was in close beta last time. now i'm playing in open beta as well, still nothing much change. that golem bug still exist for some reason. the high ping issues while in-game. for some people who might think that people are hacking because u cant hit them, they flying, recieve damage withouth no one hitting u, and kill golem withouth gold sword <---- all because of the lag. enjoy rakion if u guys really wan to play it. meet me in game with nick [NSP]Yoshuka |

this game got 5 char: swordman, blacksmith, archer, ninja, and mage
its like Gunbund.. log in game then find room to start play.. got 4 type of room: Golem, stage, team deathmatch, solo deathmatch for Golem, you need to kill the gold golem first to aquire the gold sword.. you NEED the sword to kill the opposite team golem. If the person that hold the gold sword die, the Gold golem will spawn again. for stage, pair up with some players and do the stage in time limit.. in stage, you just kill cell monsters. Stage got ranks too :S, A,B,C,D for faster lvl up, try golem^^ but after lvl 15, you need to buy power card to distribute stats that you gain each level. lol.. i have the same problem like you too.. first time i malu to ask.. then second time, no more shy..
to buy power card you need 6k cash right? go to gameshive, purchase the gunbound cash..then you'll get the serial and pin number.. use it on the softnyx cash charge to redeem you softnyx cash.. after that, log in game.. go to shop.. and purchase the card. p/s: you can use the softnyx cash in either gunbound or rakion.. its still the same thing |

well, if 10k gunbound cash is RM36.. then 6k must be around RM21.6.. you do the math... the next power card will be 4k = RM14.4.
each time you top-up, you'll get bonus 5 points.. so, if you buy 2 power cards, you'll get 10 free points to distribute. yep, too many hackers around, kinda not worth it. in fact its getting repetetive, higher lvl will require you to do the golem plenty of time because it gives you more exp than in team/solo deathmatch. |

well u can lock the room, if u dun wan other people to join ur room. tell the password only to ur friend through private message, therefore only ur friend can enter the room.

^ yeah like he said. anywany theres too much hackers in the game, like one shot can kill a player. they can easily raise their stats with hack program. once my life deduct 90% from an ice spike even though the player's lvl is twice lower than mine.
im reallly thinking of quitting the game.. normal players or power users just cant win over hackers. one hacker in a team can make a HUGE difference in win/lose |

how on earth this softnyx doing...jz release their "open beta" for 1 week then they wan start making money thru it... feels disappointed.. there are ways so many bug they nid to fix now with the hackers...ppl, wait for few month b4 buy ur power user... |

i'm playing this as well. i just wished they dealt with the hacks asap. its a good time killer game, much like dota(is a time killer game). many times i have gained golden sword with full life(from sniping at the back with my archer), and died with 1 hit shots from some player. zzzzz.

i know ninjas are awesome with grips, but i encountered a ninja who upped basic attack. his attacks become quite strong and with him running around and swinging so fast, it's hard to fight him

eh... certain graphic card driver provides the latest directx. try to go to ur graphic card website and look for it. besides that, i'm sure u all buy new game and from there u can get directx as well.

But now, most of the players my ping to them is about <200ms.. But there is always 1 or 2 players wiv more than 400ms.. =\ Then i get kicked out of the room... I can't play Rakion.. =\ |

I think that kind of system where ppl with quite high pings will get kicked out is not really that good.. Just because of that 1 person, u get kicked out.. That's annoying... And i feel that 300ms is still quite acceptable in this kind of game... Just that it'll be abit laggy..

I apologize if this has been answered before. But... Is it possible to add friends in this game? Like a list that keep tracks of who is online and stuff. I can't seem to find it in-game. BTW, it seems like mages are the primary target in every room I play... Ninjas, Blacksmiths and Swordmen gang up on me...

well duh, mages r easy target.. since they r short, low defense & can't ran fast due 2 his short legs.. he will b the primary target..
just go 4 golem war & start throwing bombs when other players r atking the gold golem & while atking or defending the master golem.. |

just finished 1 game....quite sad...mage kena marah....those bs and warrior keep saying mages r runner...bla bla bla..ask gm change name to runner....all crap...imagine few warriors+bs chasing mage...how to fight them?even 1v1 oso mage have to run and look for opportunity to ice them.....really hate those ppl who always like to criticise us...

play golem ler.....lvl damn fast...now already lvl3 going to lvl up....and twin tower will be the easiest for mage and archer....just hide up there and shoot.....or if u spotted enemy on the top then just aim for them..espeacially those mage...

seriously, playing the Stage levels are the easiest ways to level the first few levels. no point joining games and letting people pwn you just cause they have higher levels

if ice from infront(grip), i tot u all can hit the frozen opponent inside the ice.
but from behind, totally different story liao. coz the opponent will spike up the mid air. |

frozen can deal more damage than ice spike coz u can hit the opponent which is frozen. and bcoz of this u can get 4-8 combo hits on the frozen opponent.
BS grip more pain than ninja grip. how come like this? since BS already power in armor and attack. on the other hand, ninja hav low attack and low life. |

erm....i mean the grip dmg itself.....but sometimes after i freeze the enemy another idiot will attack me at the back.....>.<
ninja attack is kinda nothing actually....really low dmg...and the flying darts thingy......but the 1 which they have to charge is strong....kill golem soooo fast.... |

so sad....mage is much more easier.....and i still cant use archer's chaos properly...everytime when i use the 1 where knock ppl backward(the 1 with 5 light blue arrows),i cant shoot out any arrows...i need to charge damn long...and everytime charging half way,others already attack me.....and dunno how to use shot 1 oso.....
need more practice... |

heheh those high levels people are power user. if u have one, try this way; play 1 v 1 on golem, and take at least 13 rounds. let the power user win all the time (of course u must find a friend to play with). u can get around 170-200 on 1 v 1 (sorry forgot the amount). if u have more feriend and willing to do this then even better, but one of the group ust scrifice for the sake of the winner. this is how the high level people lvling.

Hi guys! Been playing Rakion recently, nice action game but the lag is making it non playable...just wanted to know if there's a solution to minimize the lag...I've done port forwarding and all but in the end I still think that Streamyx is the main culprit...anybody experience lag in cybercafes or not at all?

i think the lag cause from
in between streamyx and rakion server if in game lag mean, someone using hack/speedhack or someone downloading stuff or 56k user, and it make you lag as well solution ? i want to know too..... if someone know pls come and tell us all in here This post has been edited by Meis: Nov 27 2005, 05:00 PM |

wanna compare Jaring wit Streamyx.. 4 me i think its Rakion server & Streamyx tat causes the lagging.. Since their server is not in malaysia.. further more, Streamyx got problem when reaching other site out of malaysia.. |

ok couple of days ago, i call to streamyx coz
cannot connect for 2 days, the operator give me a report number and ask a technician guy contact me to help me, then the next day the technician call me and he ask me try connect again (i think the technician check my line and fix it) and yes successfully connected, couple of days later (today) i dc like hell again, the dc is like madness, not once, 10 times plus, i mean totally dc, need to reconnect the line again tmnet = rubbish company p/s my pc is fine, my modem is fine <---- meis, the unhappy man coz tmnet piss me off This post has been edited by Meis: Nov 28 2005, 11:03 PM |

i have 2 reboot my pc manually 3 time 2 day.. it will just hang on the black screen.. they didn't show any maintenance... those lame ass... spoil my pc onli..

play as ultimate gripper.
add movement speed and grip but more to movement speed. then many people will hate you because of your constant gripping them. .. but gripping is fun =) golem war more exp n gold but those swordsman and blacksmiths dont want to kill the gold golem and attack you instead.... so you can't hold right click. makes u kinda frustrated whenever they hit u while ur charging. so i say, go for fun and grip em all!! |
