Does it make sense for the ETA to be so long? I mean it has already 'arrived at local hub'

That just a MAXIMUM estimate time arrive. Doesn't need to care that. I did't care about their mail when purchase, just waiting their phone hahaha.

It is just a rough estimate and not something you can depend on. There are still many variables remaining that can affect the delivery time. For instance, due to unknown circumstances, my monitor arrived three days early and Dell thought it was still "In Transit".

The thing is earlier on it was estimated at 20th September, then once it reaches 'local hub', they estimated it to be 4th October, stockout doesn't make sense because the unit is 'assembled' already LOL.

But ya, I shall wait.

I got a Samsung 2033 monitor with 1 button at the side panel not functioning.
Bought it last year November at AllIT.

If I take it to AllIT, will it be a 1 to 1 replacement or have to leave it there?

Any1 experienced this b4?

That's how Dell started off all the while. Manufacturer -> End user, via phone, no middle party, then now they start to relax this rule abit, allow some distributors, but not all.

If you eliminate the retailer you technically can lower the price or keep higher margin for yourself :/

I bought Dell Monitors about 5 years ago from the internet. There were the UltraSharp series. I found them very clear and colours are very sharp.

Thinking of buying some more (the same series) for me and office use. Has anyone used them before? Any comments?

The new touch screen version is coming out too. Does it worth the extra money to invest in Touch Screen Monitors? hmm.gif

Thanks.

It really looks cool with a touch screen monitor, but if you intend to use the monitor with a normal computer usage (ie games, internet) then I think you'll find that the touch screen serves no purpose.
I guess if you only use the computer for movies and music, then the touch screen can saves up space of keyboard and mouse.
Or you want to draw, but I'm not sure if it's sensitive enough for that (never care enough to research on that). But then still, is it ergonomical to lean quite far off to draw on the monitor, rather than a drawing tablet on desk.
IMHO.

Do you need touch screen in the first place? Though Windows 8 is expected to take full advantage of touch screen capabilities. If your purpoes of getting touch screen is to get a perfect headshot sniper shot in Counter Strike, then forget it tongue.gif

U2311H reach today. But sadly 1 dead pixel. Not yet contact Dell Support. Any monitor testing software to recommend? The bleeding on the left corner are visible but not over board.

Q What pixel defects are covered?
A Dell’s Premium Panel Guarantee applies to UltraSharp, Professional and Alienware monitors with bright pixel defects only. The Premium Panel Guarantee does not cover monitors with dark/ black type of dead pixels.
