Problem with Samsung LA40A550

Hey pros ..
I got a problem here with my newly bought Samsung LA40A550 LCD TV .. When I read the user manual, it written that format like avi., mkv. files are supported .. I tried with avi video and it work just fine .. But when I try with the mkv. files, it just doesn't work .. Is that I have to download codec for it or what .. ? Pls help me pro .. |

i don't think so that A550 have media player that can read mkv file, only C model can read it

Newly bought? A550 should be 2008 model.
