To rectify some of the issues that u guys are facing especially on the Mazda 2 HB delays and unforeseen incidents.
FYI the demand for the new Mazda 2 HB is well above our expectation.
Why the long waiting list and delays?
1) As i mentioned, the demand for the HB is almost equivalent to the
Sedan. Due to the fact that Malaysia is a Sedan fancy country, the
import unit ratio of Sedan compare to HB is about 7 - 2 for the 1st 4-5
month.
Bermaz are already aware of this issue and are already increasing the
units for the HB for the future. I believe the delivery time will be
shorten from the current 3-4 months to about 2 months in time to
come.
2) Scratches and Dents upon receiving vehicle.
As a Mazda customer and on consumer's right, you have the right to reject the car if you find scratches and dents on your new car. You are buying a new car after all. Tell your SA or dealer to rectify the issue before you receive your car. If nothing have been done or they are ignoring u, don't sign the delivery note. Take some photos and if possible lodge a report with Bermaz. For those that are about to collect their cars, please do a routine walk around with ur SA. Once you drive your new car out of the showroom, little can be done.
3) APs, Custom and Puspakom.
Now we are in the advance technology era, everything now including the above mentioned are all done online and not manually like before.
For registeration, JPJ just implemented that all brands including Mazda have to do online submission (E-Daftar) beginning 1st June 2010. We are facing some minor and major hiccups as we are still not use to the system.
To let u understand better, to have a successful E-Daftar, all Agencies must be cooperative and no mistake is allowed.
a) Car arrived from Country of Origin to Port Klang.
b) Unloading of car from ship to custom bonded area. (about 1-2 weeks)
c) Payment of Custom Duties to secure release of cars to Mazda Stockyard. (Custom will have to key in vehicle info to E-Kustom,eg Car Model, Chassis, Engine No, Color, Year Made and others) E-Kustom will link to JPJ.
d) Cars in Mazda Stockyard going through PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) by our in house professional. (about 1-3 weeks depends on quantity)
e) Cars allocation done at HQ to each individual customer that book from Bermaz or Prima Merdu, Allocation also done to each Mazda authorised Dealer/Reseller.
f) Submit application for APs from MITI.
g) APs arrived at HQ and distribution done to each branch and dealer.
h) Full balance payment MUST BE COLLECTED before we proceed with Puspakom Inspection. At the same time, our account dept will prepare the cheque for JPJ registration and Road Tax. (Only for Bermaz and Prima) Not sure bout dealers as they have their own individual procedures.
i) Car inspected at Puspakom. B2 report will be online to link to JPJ.
j) If got loan, bank will have to do the E-Hakmilik to link to JPJ.
k) Branch and Dealers will have to do Daftar. (K1 form) To key in each buyer details, model and encumbrance bank. Details will be link to JPJ. IF THERE'S ANY ERROR IN ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED. THE K1 CAN't BE GENERATED THUS SOME OF YOU WILL FACE THE DELAY AS WE HAVE TO CHECK AND CONTACT THE RELEVANT DEPARTMENT TO RECTIFY THE ERROR.
l) Insurance to be complete and link to JPJ.
ALL DONE AND SET TO REGISTER AT JPJ
Hope this will help you and change ur perspective towards us.
We wanna release the car to u asap so we can also claim our comm faster..
But some delays and error are really beyond our control. We only can wait and wait for the department to rectify it.
