What happened to GSC's nendoroid Mickey Mouse? Nendos that are 100+ already been released...

I think GSC just made nendoroid mickey "exclusive" because they really knew he wouldn't sell many copies anyway

I got bored and decided sanae needed new hair.



I tried to make it look like it was flowing in the wind... it just looks like snakes though.

Yes- a brand called "Super Sculpey". Its firm, but easy to use- you need to bake it in an oven for it to harden though.

I want to paint it- i dont have airbrush though... i'll experiment with different textures and see which works.

New hairpiece of course!

That's probably why- I agree, should half-flatten the hair a bit first-

I was thinking I could sharpen the tips by sanding it after I bake it!


Oh man!! This kind of hair would look great on Luka... tako luka with tentacle suckers too haha

Super sculpey doesnt expand nor shrink- which is good or else the face piece wouldn't fit!

I've used it before for other projects, and its pretty easy to paint on too.

Kagami!! Jealous! I missed out on that anniversary kagami & konata nendo version because I didnt have the moeny at the time Love that face... and pocky.

After putting in the oven, 15 minutes- the clay baked:


Bad news:
-elevated too high, causing discoloration in the top part... can fix with a white primer though so no big deal
-air bubbles... one on top of the head and near side... can fix with light sanding
-some dents because of the hard foil edges I used to keep the hair piece in place while it baked- only appears on the inside though, so not very visible.

Good news:
-face & hair fit PERFECTLY! no shrinkage whatsoever
-Sanae can now stand without need of base.

Now I gotta go sand the hair strands... make them sharper & flatter. Will probably do tomorrow

This whole week has been without any nendoroid news... Mikatan's blog didn't update at all this week...

I'm just hoping that GSC doesn't release any /new/ stuff though... just painted versions of old stuff.... (but I have a feeling that's not the case.. )

No... it can't be exclusive... WF exclusive items never have previews- always a surprise. Why would they make previews of Summer WF items during Winter WF?

Haruhi & Yuki nendos got displayed at Winter wonfes, unpainted... either they are bundled with DVD or sold separately, but not exclusives....

Good smile company isn't thaaat evil...

But easier to get I think.

Lets just hope it's not exclusive or bundled... GSC seems to be "re-making" some of the older nendoroids... like that Saber, and the Neko-Arc... hopefully they will "re-make" the haruhi & Yuki and not make them exclusive.
