asking for silly question. I got a job offer but not really sure about the process.

Now my status is I got the offer letter and at the offer letter, it was stated:
'I shall commence work on the date a Work Pass is issued to me by Ministry of Manpower. I acknowledge and agree that in any event, I will commence my employment on 16 August 2010, failing which you may revoke your offer of employment.'

I haven't applied employment pass yet, does it mean that I will commence my job as long as employment pass being issued? Or I will start to work on 16/08/10??

Thanks in advance^^

do you know any website good for finding a room at Gelang Patah?

Or how to find a room at Gelang Patah?

What is the price to get a room at Gelang Patah? My budge, I also don't know. I would like to compare and see whether worth or not. I estimate total time travel from Gelang Patah to NUH around 90 minutes for 1 way. 3 hours for 2 ways.

What is the bus stop name at Gelang Patah to get the CW bus? This is because I would like to compare the distance of the room from google map.

silly question about renting. Could I bargain the price with them? In certain countries, the chance to bargain a bit low.

I just would like to say hi to everyone here. I'm another new member here. Currently, I'm staying at Jurong West and working at NUH. I feel tired and still try to get use to the life over here.

hahaha, no moon but only HDB.

Another thing is how do I sleep tonight. There are two concerts going at my place. BUT only sing, old chinese songs which are not my cup of tea. There are kids downstairs who are playing tanglung. Anyway, the feeling still better than when I was in Aus. Last year, I was watching HK drama 'jia hou yue yuan', I was crying while watching so cham. This year better, at least I got my moon cake and my favorite 'pig'. wakakakka
