Big4 turnover is very high, so the firms are forced to constantly hire. They can't be too choosy about residence status.

thanks a lot..
do u think chances will be higher if I try big 4?
have been applying for 2 months and no news totally, wonder is it I did not meet their expectations or I am a Malaysian or the salary requested is too high.
notice that most jobs are posted by head hunter.

How much is your salary expectation?
Maybe try lower ur salary expectation by 10% to 15%?
Hopefully, by then.. u will be shortlisted for interview.

I see that most of you put your expected salary in the resume? Is it necessary? I always  think that the first last party who name their price will have the upper hand in any negotiation, no?
*
If you look though Jobstreet or JobsDB, most employers or agents required u to put 4 things in ur resume. IT'S A MUST.

1) Current salary
2) Expected salary
3) Reasons for leaving past and present employment
4) Notice period

If u failed to insert the above 4 info, dun think they even consider u to be shortlisted.

Secondly, putting expected salary oso good so that wont simply call ppl come for interview and when they wanna take u but cant offer u ur salary at the end of the day. It's a waste of time for both parties.

ya.. prepaid can actually save alot. like happy 128, u pay sgd28 and u get 100sgd local call + 25sgd international call. Although receiving do deduct the credit but heck with tat 100sgd local call, they can deduct as much as they like.

for me, tat 100sgd local call, i can't even finish it.
*
If you have a bf/gf or other frens... sure can finish.

I am currently using the free 250 minutes plan.. it is not even enough for me.

Dunno. I just signed up with the one which had a roadshow near my office and I could do all the paperwork in one shot.

Not sure what you mean by better... most people won't have multiple brokerage accounts and can't make a comparison.

QUOTE(oooooo @ Aug 27 2010, 10:56 AM)
Hi all, in my previous post I mentioned I been offered by a china man company and they already applied EP for me with my passport only.

Now I have a MNC company offer me in sg as well. The situasion now is like this. Tat chinaman company seem like refuse to cancel my ep application which i didn't fill up or put my pen to any paper with them.
Right now they looking for compensation from me. Any idea how much for this application fees can be cost?

Now the MNC company unable to apply for me since that chinaman company refuse to cancel.... anyone can give advice???
have to wait the application expired after 3 month then only can apply again??

Headache.... sigh!
*
If you have yet to sign or certify u r working for this chinaman company, they can no way apply the EP for you.
If they really applied alrady, ask them to prove the documentation to you.
Otherwise, I believe they just bluff you.

Hi guys,

I'm a fresh accounting graduate. Anyone working in any accounting firms in Singapore? Which are the medium-sized firms in Singapore? I only found RSM.

I have only one remaining ACCA paper. What would be the expected salary in Singapore?

Thx
*
With only one remaining paper but with nil experience, you can try to ask for approx $2.0K to $2.2K in a medium size firm.

Don't think you'll get a job in SG if you're not a PR or a SGian without a degree or an ACCA.
*
No la.. with one remaining paper, even if u could not join medium or Big4 as Assistant Associate.

U can still join other companies as Accounts Assistant or a small audit firm as Audit Assistant.
This is what my fren is currently doing as she just joined a small firm getting $1,900

There are so many junior fresh grat jobs there in Singapore. Maybe u need to lower ur salary expectation to about $1.8K to $1.9K.

That's common. A few friends of mine have already given up their Malaysian citizenship. And some claimed that the process of returning IC, passport etc is very fast.

LOL, UMMO must be very very happy those Chinese convert to a Singaporean.

Pls mind that if u have converted to a Singaporean, ur chance of converting back to a Malaysian is virtually equal to zero.
