Hmm towards the question 1), if is fine not to mention the location however, during the call interview, they will ask your current location. That would be an issue as once they knew that your are in Msia, they might be reluctant to ask you to come to SG for the interview, depending on which location you are in Msia. I am staying and working in Selangor, and looking for a job in SG, however most of them are interview calls only. Due to the fact I am working in Selangor and probably to far to ask me to come for the interview.
A few time I went down to SG for interview, and the most surprising was, the interviewer thought I was from Johor
. Funny and they don't read your resume in detail.
