QUOTE(dokidoki @ May 19 2010, 10:15 AM) some silly question....1st time in SG and my company say will subsidy my mobile phone call for sgd50. want to check any1 on M1 take3 plan?..do i need to pay anything when 1st sign up? what are the document i need to give when apply the postpaid line? i used to work with M1. the take3 plan is kinda like loan phone scheme. although you do not need to make any upfront payment for the handset, but you are expected to return the phone after 2 years' usage. there will be a penalty if you fail to return the phone in good condition (where warranty only valids for 1 year). make sure you ask the details properly from their staff. IMO its not really a good plan if your plan's commitment is low (because the choices of handsets will be limited).

so i am living in a shit place.
however if you stick with red line, it will be quite far for your friend to travel.
i think your best bet would be sticking with green line.

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Sep 7 2010, 07:54 PM) Since people usually use their IC or work pass to sign up, why the requirement of a passport when a foreigner who is working in singapore would be given a work pass as his/her identification card to replace the passport. i used to work with a M1 dealer. perhaps we are just a dealer, my company policy had made it clear that foreign customers have to show (or even a photocopied version will suffice) a valid passport (ie a more than 6 months validity in terms of expiry). this is to further make sure the mobile contract application will not be rejected by M1. i understand this policy might sounds ridiculous to customers but you definitely have no idea how much we (the staff) will have to compensate if the application is rejected. you cant sign it, just bring your passport next time, they usually will reserve the set for you. whats the big deal? from what i gathered from the customers, we generally have better service attitude than M1 staffs. PS: M1 takes all complains compliments with high attention. better if you can provide staff ID. This post has been edited by icycokes: Sep 8 2010, 01:46 AM

you guys are talking about the big fours... it seems hard for foreigners obtain employment there.
lets say i have a NUS econs degree + ACCA with no related working experience. how are my chances of entering a big four?
i am really curious to know as i heard ACCA is not very much valued in spore.
