Hey guys, i'm soon to graduate from acca. Planning to move to sg to work right after results are out which is around feb next year.
Is is tough to get a job in the Big4 firms, especially when I'm not a citizen of sg?
One last question, after reading the FP, I'm still a little confuse as to having to stay in sg for some time and look for jobs in the newspapers in sg itself. Can we just apply for a job in sg from malaysia? Once they call in for interview, I would just go over and if they accept me, I'll start planning for accomodation, etc.
Hope to hear some advices from you guys. Thanks.

QUOTE(jae @ Jun 10 2010, 11:55 PM) Is it tough? Not really, but not really because of your citizenship, more of the qualification itself (no offence) and timing. I can't speak for all the Big 4s, but the impression I get based on what I gathered is the Big 4s in Sg tend to place more value on degree holders. I know for one of the Big4 if you are an ACCA grad, they will place you in their SME audit department. Whereas for timing issue, the major intake (July to Sept) for this year I believe have already been filled up long time ago, so if you are only gonna apply now I kinda doubt you will make it in this year. As for the looking of a job when you are physically here, I can't really give much comment on this, probably others could give better advice. But I know for big companies it doesn't really make much of a difference since you are most likely able to apply online (for Big4s you can definitely apply online). thanks , really appreciate ur help. but one thing to note, i have a 2nd class upper degree too. haha
