Got a part-time job in JB, RM$1500, work max 3 hours/day. Interested?

...

...

Jobs : stay in JB, work in SG.

You can save at least that amount every month. To those factory workers from JB, this is a good deal. If your pay is low and you stay in SG, you might save much less than those factory worker every month.

Mind to share more details?
Why don't reveal all at a go?

Fuh! If such a long travel time, do one really count how much time they spend on travelling for a month? Per day is around 3 hours, per month 60 hours!

Tell her to pay you compensation or you will tell hdb that she let you stay wihtout informing hdb.

Make copies of your tenancy agreement as well as receipts as proof that you stayed in her house and that she didnt inform you that she was registered with hdb to sublet her room to you.

Since she is scared just coz of the news, she would be more forthcoming if you pursue with this action.

Great thing is we do not have tenancy agreement. All she want is behave ourself and pay rent punctual. Bugger mana tau she didn't register with HDB.

Most HDB landlords do not register with HDB. Mine doesn't... and with my neighbours, I act like I own the place tongue.gif My view is that if you don't do anything that makes people complain, you should be quite safe. HDB usually acts on tips, they rarely go house to house unless it's one of those notorious blocks with lots of foreign worker dorms.
*
Yup, indeed true. I am ok with my current neighbors. All pak cik mak cik

Then you gotta find a new place. How much time are you given to find a new place?
*
1 month. If still can't, she is so 'friendly' that giving us 1 more week. Yup, 1 more week is so long shakehead.gif

i notice not much seats around, but if there are, chances are they are empty... and you can sit down rest and stretch abit...

in malaysia... even if there are many seats, always got this particular race sit down whole day long... no buy anything wan... so irritating. blush.gif
yeah need to be careful... some news just fyi if going through agent...

the Ministry of National Development (MND) said it's setting up a new statutory board - the Council for Estate Agencies - to implement a new regulatory framework for the real estate agency industry, so as to better safeguard consumer interest and to raise the professionalism of the industry.

The new framework will include a Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, which estate agencies and agents must adhere to.

Unethical pressure sale tactics or using unsubstantiated information about the property market will constitute as misconduct under the Code.

Consumers who feel they have been disadvantaged or misled by estate agencies or agents can report to the CEA, after its formation.

CEA will investigate into the complaint and take disciplinary action if warranted.

in fact tomorrow, i'm going to police station to lodge report against a deal i made last month... agent & owner took 4 months of rental money while i didn't know I was getting an illegal unit. after i backed out of the deal, and since they're not returning the money... hope the law can take them down.

Sigh. Pretty tiring. Lazy to move

Extremely cheap. Fully furnish? Location?
*
Yes, indeed. For 2+1, this area cost $1700-$1800 sad.gif

Fully furnish, but we don't mind whether it is partial or fully furnish, as we already have most of the it.
Location at Kallang, to be exact is Kallang Bahru.

QUOTE(toda6866 @ Aug 11 2010, 02:06 PM)
thats great!

btw, wheres ur district? at $1500, u r not sharing with anyone? i thought HDB not allowed to rent out the whole unit if follow rules?
*
Kallang. Sharing with 4 person including me.
Planning to get 1 more person, since we have an extra room now.

Renting whole unit is allowed after 5 years owning the unit.

Can't even find 2+1 for that price at central area.
Even 1+1 for 1.4k is very rare.

Haha, it is my next 2 door unit neighbour.

True, the price at this area are crazy high. In 2014, the price will even higher due to new MRT station coming up soon.

I just got myself a place at Bedok Reservoir for 500$. Why is it that I need to pay full month fees to agent when all he did was put the advert on the net where I found it. Even the owner can do that! Please somebody make me feel better.

N btw, what is all this 1+1, 3+1 term?
Is it how I paid for my 1 month plus 1 month advance when i first rent the room?
*
You are using property agent services, thus need to pay. Else, you can always opt to go direct for owner but it is difficult to search.

My only question is, I thought for agent fee is usually 50%-50%? Tenant pay 50%, and owner pay 50% ?

The way Singapore doing is not flexible, I can understand your M1 situation. Few weeks back i was stuck in the JB checkpoint. I travel back to M'sia every week so I go to get an "access card". So normally I left my work permit(the green color one)at home, only bring out the access card and passport when travel back. That day my friend their family drove in to S'pore so offer me a free ride. I just gave them my access card and passport. Inside the access card is all my details, including my work permit number, my photos everything...But they said must give them my work permit, not the access card. I asked how, they said we will send you back to M'sia, then you proceed by bus, then can only use the access card. How stupid it is? All my friend family are waiting for me, and they even hold all of their passport. OMG, i was so embarrassing...Then her brother said, y dont u try to use the white card(visit pass)? I said Oh Yah, i forget. But when i told them, they said U R NOT SUPPOSED to use it since you have been issued a work permit. Why are they so stubborn?? Haiz...after that i said fine, you give back another 4 passenger passport, i will go back to M'sia, then he is very rude and asked me to WAIT!!
Really paiseh, let my friends them to wait for one hour plus. Fortunately her father and bro is ok and so caring asked me not to worry.
I can only comment Singaporean is really stubborn, everything must follow the rules and dont know how to be flexible...>.<"
*
You should carry your work permit all the time with you, instead you can leave your access card at home.
If a police stop you and you do not have work permit and password, do you know they have the right to bring you back to the station even though you just show your access card?

The immigration can't let you go because they need to scan your work permit, not your access card.

If remit money, those small shop which do money tranfer to your prefered malaysian bank account for around 10 dollar should be ok for small amount.

Im interested in moving some money down, but its a rather large amount, and going through the banks is quite ex if im not mistaken if you want 2 remit more then 30k and i dont really trust those small shops which remit money when it comes to a large amount.
*
Don't you have a receipt right?
IINM, for 30K and above, you need to declare too.
