You can save at least that amount every month. To those factory workers from JB, this is a good deal. If your pay is low and you stay in SG, you might save much less than those factory worker every month.

Tell her to pay you compensation or you will tell hdb that she let you stay wihtout informing hdb.

Make copies of your tenancy agreement as well as receipts as proof that you stayed in her house and that she didnt inform you that she was registered with hdb to sublet her room to you.

Since she is scared just coz of the news, she would be more forthcoming if you pursue with this action.

Most HDB landlords do not register with HDB. Mine doesn't... and with my neighbours, I act like I own the place My view is that if you don't do anything that makes people complain, you should be quite safe. HDB usually acts on tips, they rarely go house to house unless it's one of those notorious blocks with lots of foreign worker dorms.

Then you gotta find a new place. How much time are you given to find a new place?

if i were u, no matter how also lodge a report against the landlord, give them problem since they created it for u - eye for an eye 

i notice not much seats around, but if there are, chances are they are empty... and you can sit down rest and stretch abit...

in malaysia... even if there are many seats, always got this particular race sit down whole day long... no buy anything wan... so irritating.

CEA will investigate into the complaint and take disciplinary action if warranted.

in fact tomorrow, i'm going to police station to lodge report against a deal i made last month... agent & owner took 4 months of rental money while i didn't know I was getting an illegal unit. after i backed out of the deal, and since they're not returning the money... hope the law can take them down.

The way Singapore doing is not flexible, I can understand your M1 situation. Few weeks back i was stuck in the JB checkpoint. I travel back to M'sia every week so I go to get an "access card". So normally I left my work permit(the green color one)at home, only bring out the access card and passport when travel back. That day my friend their family drove in to S'pore so offer me a free ride. I just gave them my access card and passport. Inside the access card is all my details, including my work permit number, my photos everything...But they said must give them my work permit, not the access card. I asked how, they said we will send you back to M'sia, then you proceed by bus, then can only use the access card. How stupid it is? All my friend family are waiting for me, and they even hold all of their passport. OMG, i was so embarrassing...Then her brother said, y dont u try to use the white card(visit pass)? I said Oh Yah, i forget. But when i told them, they said U R NOT SUPPOSED to use it since you have been issued a work permit. Why are they so stubborn?? Haiz...after that i said fine, you give back another 4 passenger passport, i will go back to M'sia, then he is very rude and asked me to WAIT!!
Really paiseh, let my friends them to wait for one hour plus. Fortunately her father and bro is ok and so caring asked me not to worry.

If remit money, those small shop which do money tranfer to your prefered malaysian bank account for around 10 dollar should be ok for small amount.

Im interested in moving some money down, but its a rather large amount, and going through the banks is quite ex if im not mistaken if you want 2 remit more then 30k and i dont really trust those small shops which remit money when it comes to a large amount.
