Hi folks, yesterday I went to get a used phone in Toa Payoh. Unfortunately, that phone did not charge (did not test this). Anyone has got any experience getting back your money?

hello.....
wat would u guys do if u r degree holder, with 1 yr experience(80% relevant tho) and u felt that u were underpaid in sgp, ur 3 mths probation finally end but the company has no intention to raise salary, what should u do? quit immediately?
*
Well, if you quit immediatly, you will not have any income. Why don't you look for another job before you quit? It's tempting to just quit but you will have to do some calculation before doing that. Chart out your expenditure vs your saving and how long can you last before getting another job. It may take a while though. Do not forgot that after your last day in your company, I think you only have two weeks of grace period staying in SG.

Good luck :-)

i know. but would u stay in a company for year which only raise u $30(a colleague of mine) after a year serving and working like hell just for the good learning opportunity?
*
You might need to prepare for an answer if you are asked why do you want to leave only after 3 months in your current job during an interview.

There is a cut on number of PR and company have limited EP headcount. Good time for current PR to look for better jobs.
*
That also meant that it will be more difficult for EP to convert to PR in the coming days eh. Hopefully things will be back to normal after the Singapore election.

robberies. I was kind of shocked to hear that as I know Sg is pretty safe.
Though, I was staying along the east side the last time I was there.

Maybe it's not robbery but pickpockets?

SG is boring. What do you guys do during weekends? I got nothing to do...too tired of window shopping.....
*
Why don't you do some exploring in Singapore. Search for places with good food, have a walk here and there. Actually if you do no mind walking, just take a stroll here and there. I enjoy doing that.

Just curious, are there anyone here who travels daily from JB-SG-JB via the Transtar coach? Where do you board that bus on SG side?

Not sure if any of you here stay in JB, but just to share with you all, the causeway new bridge is open already. so now from Malaysia CIQ to Woodlands Checkpoint got no jam at all in the morning. I am referring to car la. if take motorcycle like me. u need to queue around 20 mins to cross the Singapore immigration, then no more jam. so my travel time is around 70mins a day now compare to 90 mins previously. (because i am staying quite far in JB, near Tebrau city Jusco).
*
If I am not mistaken, they will continue to make changes here and there to the traffic path. It's not an officially opening though. But yes, I do realised that the traffic timing is reduced for today. No more two lanes to one jam.

Coz i moved to JB already, getting tired of Singapore life liao. So i will park my car in my JB home. I will be going back this 23rd Dec by bus and drive my car down on the 2 Jan 2011.

Hi Lester, do you drive into JB daily? Or taking public transport? The new bridge in MY is opened for the going into SG. It does reduce 10 to 15 mins of traveling daily according to my friend.
