QUOTE(Patricia_85 @ May 24 2010, 12:47 AM) Accounting firms like big4 u mean?? I prefer to work in commercial line such as HP,P&G,IBM, etc..not really keen in audit though..but i did try to apply kpmg in spore..no news as usual.. Yes, Big4 are typically more willing to get EPs for freshies. The MNCs will not to bother to hire foreigners if there are equivalent local applicants available. For junior staff, my company will usually only go through this for internal transfers ie. someone from our office in another country being transferred to Singapore. The exception is for hard to find skills like specific language capabilities or SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) etc.

QUOTE(crapp0 @ May 21 2010, 01:30 PM) Donno whats the big deal about dr gohs death. Not like we has prime minister or something. I don't know what's your deal when some big shot like PM or sultan *ahem* but Dr.Goh means a great deal to people in SG. I thank him for his earlier decision and hardwork to develop SG economy and education system so that I have a better (compare to MY) education and jobs in SG many years later. In short, he is a great soul. I pay my respect and followed the whole state funeral session from the TV. Imagine if a fundamental umno member was as smart as him back then.. Added on May 24, 2010, 1:24 pmQUOTE(kockroach @ May 23 2010, 01:13 AM) Left me wondering is there any one in Malaysia with the similar contribution. Late Dr.Goh is orang Melaka rakyat Singapura. QUOTE(cktwai @ May 24 2010, 09:29 PM) if your results are good PM me ... I can get you an interview. May i know how good is good?? i will only get my result in August. I am considered as haven't complete ACCA yet until August once I get my result. so am i still eligible?? I am a moderate student not with genius brains though..but even results are good in Degree/ ACCA, some might not be able to do good in the real world. I am very confident with my working experience and my knowledge of Accounting though. Not everybody is perfect, people tends to have flaws somewhere. We improved as time goes by. So if you think I am eligible to it, I'll be glad to PM you for further details.. so can I?? This post has been edited by Patricia_85: May 24 2010, 09:45 PM

You should put in hope For everything you want to achieve, you must start visualizing it now, like what my lecturer once told me, visualize yourself receiving the award, getting what you want, achieving all the satisfaction.

Wonder why we fight for Batu Putih earlier on, just setup another 60/40 % company then SG buy over the remaining share in future and that's it. SOLD! smart lah. Added on May 25, 2010, 12:33 am Happy mini independent day for Singapore as she reclaim some national soil with Money but not a single bullet! I just came back from the KTM mamak stall, going to miss the train, the station food, the experience and momories. sad. This post has been edited by r1v3r: May 25 2010, 12:33 AM

Malaysian gets to take MRT to cross the causeway for work. Singaporean gets to use MRT to cross the causeway for shopping. Cheaper toll rates for 2nd link = a lot of development will happen there soon. why not? i just think that last time Mahathir too degil.

A nice side effect with the cross-border MRT is SG will be less congested, as many Malaysians can now stay and commute directly from Johor easily (now also can, but damn long commute). Many SGs may also retire to Johor to enjoy the lower cost of living, yet can easily pop back into SG when needed (but security still a big issue in Johor). Hopefully this will help push down the crazy rent rates.
