silly question about renting. Could I bargain the price with them? In certain countries, the chance to bargain a bit low.

You can try to bargain. I see a lot of forummers here did some bargaining. :-). No harm trying your luck right.

hi folks,

I'm currently using M1 prepaid, but not really satisfy what i expect.

1. can i convert to other server provider (singtel, starhub) postpaid plan but retain my current prepaid phone number?

2. If not, m1 prepaid able to convert to itself postpaid plan?

Thank you.

p/s: To those who're new to singapore and intend to open a bank account, i do recommend DBS/POSB/UOB/OCBC only especially you're keen to use internet banking often. >>>My personal experience & thought. rclxub.gif

1. No, not possible, pre-paid and postpaid is different thing and u can't carry a prepaid number to postpaid. not sure about prepaid to prepaid though.
2. same answer above.

to me, Citibank online banking is not bad too. they have SMS alert for me which i think its good. everytime someone transfer money to my account, they will SMS me.

we are offered iFlexi Value plan at SGD$30 (normal SGD$56) per month. Need only to pay SGD$110 (normal SGD$888) for the iPhone4 16GB. also need to sign 2 years contract. worth it ? anyone else got a better corporate rate ?

Uhh...SGD888 is if you buy the phone without a contract right? Since you are getting iFlexi Value you should only 'normally' pay around SGD200 for the phone, but still a good deal get 50% off.

yeah SGD$888 is without contract. I'm not sure normally how much is the phone with iFlexi Value plan but on top of that we have around 45% discount on the monthly payment itself, SGD$30 instead of SGD$56.
after calculation for 2 years, SGD$30 X 24 month = SGD$720 + SGD$110 (phone price) = SGD$830, which is still cheaper than $888 rclxms.gif

i'm just curious if there is a better corporate plan out there ? probably SIA, heard theirs is pretty good.

Is it very common for HDB units to be taken up so fast in a couple of days after they advertised?
I called many agents and all said their units are taken up, some even on the same day they advertised!!.
I suspect they just advertised with low prices to lure people to call, then recomend other less desirable units.
Does any of you encountered the same problem?

well, from the experience of finding rooms through those portals like propertyguru, iproperty etc etc, yes, actually you’ll be surprised with the amount of people calling those agent up, but as your question on recommending less desirable unit, though after viewing the advertised unit, they did “hint” if I wanted to see another place, but most of the time i rejected them.

p.s. - it’s really fkin jam just now in tuas, stucked for 2 hour on the checkpoint for no reason rclxub.gif

You are in Singapore, not everything Malaysia Boleh. Most people will check your original student pass (from ICA) and your passport.

It does not look nice on you if you tell them you are a student here but no student pass right?
