hi guys! as far as i concerned, there's only Papago which is usable in Android Phone only right? or more specific, on 1.6 only. I'm a heavy GPS user and a WinMo user b4. but right now, i kinda like turning my head towards Andorid but the main problem is the GPS.

so just wanna ask fellow Androidian, what GPS are u using now and heard rumours that Garmin is developing the system for Android too?

anybody could help me?

thanks thumbup.gif

regards,
billy.

yeah papago can use for android 2.1 but take note its not officially available in malaysia. The point of interests are all screwed up(ie. the logos and all is wrong) and the menu is in chinese but u can input in english to search.

i am also still waiting for an offline gps software but till now there is none which is good and available yet. u can read further in detail in this android forum for more details. there is 2 threads going on about gps for android already. =)

Try WAZE. It is a free navigation GPS app that is community base. As more people use it then you can get real live traffic updates. Give it a try.

If you want to know more about WAZE then go to www.waze.com or just download it free from Android market under WAZE. You can uninstall it if u don't like it.

Try downloading Nav Launcher in the Market. Let the application download the modded version of Google Maps. Launch the application (Nav Launcher) then search for the address you want it to navigate to. There's some lag in the voice but the navigation is awesome. I was in Ipoh for the weekend and I used this application to get around Ipoh for food hunt and it work flawlessly. smile.gif Love it!
