Dear football fans,
I'm interested to organize a World Cup event for my company. Preferences as below:
Location: KL city area (Changkat BB / Jln P. Ramlee / Jln Sultan Ismail etc) Capacity: 100 pax
Drinks, good food and good ambience would be ideal.
Any suggestions?

I wouldn't advise doing it in the city centre. When you say "World Cup Event", do you mean a viewing party? If so, which game(s)? Not all bars/pubs have rights to open past 2am, which incidentally is what time the late games kick off. I would advise you to consider locations in PJ such as Souled Out in Hartamas, Ecoba in Damansara Perdana (3 projector screens and multiple LCDs), Baywatch in Aman Suria, Laundry at the Curve... off the top of my head. If you want some place a little smaller and more personal, the maybe Royal Oak in Jaya One or George and the Dragon in BSC.
I'm afraid there aren't too many places in the areas you've mentioned that provide a conducive viewing experience for 100 pax. Not that I know off anyway.

Duke Red, yeah I meant like a viewing party. We are planning to invite some corporate clients and colleagues. And since our office is in downtown, the bosses would prefer somewhere nearby.
Now that you've nentioned it, I've realised that I've been looking at the South Africa timing. Early match is at 10pm. That would be difficult for week nights. Nevertheless I will take your suggestions into account.
Thanks!

Actually the first round of games during the group stages will kickoff at 1:30 South African time which is the equivalent of 7:30pm local time. In any case, here are a couple of venues I've heard screen football games. Both are downtown:- QUOTE Finnegan’s 51 Jalan Sultan Ismail (03 2145 1930); The stalwart KL Irish pub chain has survived as one of the best places in the city to catch live sports. With each branch known for a different game, enthusiasts will have their own favourite venue, but for sheer variety, the four Finnegan’s locations are tough to beat. The Jalan Sultan Ismail branch is a must visit for fans of Australian Rules Football (games usually screened on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings) while Sri Hartamas’ bar should tick the rugby boxes. A good selection of beers on tap also help the action flow and for many are reason alone to drop QUOTE Legends All Sports Bar & Restaurant Ground Floor, The Life Centre, 20 Jalan Sultan Ismail (03 2166 6603). I've not been to the Finnegan's in KL but from what I remember of Legend, it's pretty big and you have a choice of viewing the match indoors or outdoors. It can easily accomodate 100 pax although the layout isn't really conducive for large dinner groups unless you don't mind spreading yourselves out.

Good suggestions mate. We are indeed deciding on the 730pm matches currently. Legend sounds and looks good on the internet, I'll head over to check it out personally this weekend! Appreciate it Duke Added on May 11, 2010, 8:34 pm13/06 02:30 Rustenburg England vs USA Local time = 8.30pm. I reckon this would be a good match for a viewing party.
