Guys,

I'm going to rent an office for the first time for my budding startup. Any advice? Particularly on watchouts, etc...

It's Empire Soho, btw. smile.gif

It's really ideal for me - gym + starbucks downstairs = everything I need!

Good thing. I love starbucks too. There is no SOHO at my location. Too bad I can't advice on anything about SOHO.

I've just discovered that there's a Popular on the top floor. Jaya Grocer on the ground floor so I could stock up on stuff for my smoothies to keep the energy up. Almost perfect!

The Soho unit's pretty cool - there's a pseudo "second floor" which is just right for the missus and baby to lepak when they come over as I work on Sundays.

I've seen a unit for $2,000 - unfurnished. My plan is to turn the upper floor (deck) into a lounge while I work downstairs. Good for probably 5-6 people... but I work on my own. smile.gif

I've contacted some agents and they are really not that responsive. Wonder why... is the market really that good?

need to consider your budget and kind of business; whether the location is suitable for your customers

My customers are in the US primarily, so location is all about gym and coffee!

Kinda tired working out of Starbucks. Being a "lifestyle entrepreneur" is not my cup of tea... I want to "go to work"!

Added on May 18, 2010, 3:57 pmOK, I've paid for the deposit - 4th floor with a good view of Subang Jaya. My agent totally rocks - she's really efficient! Anyone needs a good, responsive agent just PM me.
