QUOTE(destfull @ May 10 2010, 11:22 PM) So does it means that we can hack a850/a700 firmware and bring the high iso quality of a550 to it? firmware is part specific, in this case, the sensor, hence i think it is not possible to do soIs a850 ISO is better than a550? (straight from the camera).. And is it possible for sony to just update the firmware to enable the video mode? If not related to hardware, I think they can. or it might be the processor, bionz, which a550 using another enhanced version QUOTE(dpreview.com) New 12.3/14.2 effective megapixel (A500/A550) CMOS sensor and new enhanced BIONZ processor for detail-packed, low-noise images with high sensitivity up to ISO 12800 |

i don't have any spare battery or vg, i charge only when i know i will bring the camera out for shoot.
depend of the photoshooting session (how many pic u expected in the shooting), sometime i charge to full no matter how many left, sometime i don't. but most of the time around 20~30% i will give a full charge |

if a300 is still very light, then the newer model of a330 more like plastic toy.

u need to use a smaller aperture to get bigger dof if u use raynox. but then, why u choose to use 50f1.8? i suggest, 18-55 or 18-70 even better with it.

maybe upgrade to other brand
question, after a few attempt to blow the sensor dust out (and not success) with a blower(cheap 1), is the problem lied on the blower or the technique (i hold the camera face down with left hand and press the blower on right hand, not using the technique in first page, as i believe that dust still ther if blow like this right??) |
