Last time Alpha don't have HD Video, all say HD Video SLR is stupiak. Now got 2 new Alphas coming with HD Video, let's see what u fellas gonna think. brows.gif
*
It'll be so cool if they have A850 implemented with Video and priced lower than 6 k.. but though video is a plus point.

Though the size of the 18-55 do look like the current SAL 18-55..
The prices posted by sony rumors seems a lil bit pricey..
650 pounds for the body and 18-55 lens..

I think we'll have more news coming up shortly.. cant wait =D

oh..okok...eh, i want to ask, my sony alpha comes with the 1855 lens...i had registered online in sony website for the body serial number, and the lens should i register too?
*
if u registered your body correctly.. it should indicate that your set comes with a kit lens.. I know last time it used to be like A300k for single lens.. A300x for twin kit lens.. notice the alphabet behind the A300?

So ya if your lens comes with ur body.. which normally does.. then its okay..

at product code i just key in as DSLRA550.. and key in the serial number under the body..
assume Sony correctly mapped a serial to a type of product, i think it should indicate my product come with what standard package, m i rite?..
*
Hmm, I'm not really sure about the A550.. shouldnt it have like L for single kit, T for travel kit and Z for carl zeiss kit?
This you have to refer to A550 users already, cos thats what I did way back 2 years ago.. never had a chance to upgrade yet =P

i saw in the Sony email, the product code i registered is DSLRA550L/Q E32..
*
Yup, then it'll do okay already.. since its registered along with the kit set =D

So from Sony Rumors site, there is an adapter for that NES.. but we need to use a SSS lens still..

Imagine if NES with 70200G.. hahahah
*
True that.. but the whole main purpose of the NEX is compact is convenient.. Body is small yes undeniably, but the lenses are a little bit turn off..
Using alongside 70-200G will make ppl stare and wonder whats that =P

1 question OOT, if u were to send something expensive overseas, what contents should u write?
*
Is it insurance covered? The last time I sent a lens to Netherlands, I just wrote lens cos there's insurance covering it.. using poslaju though.. In the end it reached in around 3-4 days safe and sound.
Better be honest incase anything happen.. if you write something like glass decoration, the insurance covering it wouldn't be high I guess.

My stuffs are not really fragile just that I wrote accessories (keychain) instead of (bracelet) but the amount i wrote is same as the price i paid to get the bracelet lo. Just im using PosLaju EMS and it should b ok rite?
*
Should be okay.. poslaju is more reliable compared to pos daftar..
I dont see a problem there =D good luck with it

Mine reached in the expected days as written, but who knows maybe the people in M'sia is a little bit slow , so the whole process might be slowed down..

Well , u got the tracking number right? Can always keep yourself update, as for mine, its quite accurate

One downside of using alpha mount on NEX is you can only use manual focus.. haha.. well.. there s a price for everything..

wouldnt say its a downside though, coz when you wanna take vids, you wouldnt wanna record those "vrrr... vrrrrrrr...vrrrrrrrrrrr" from the screw now, do you?
*
True that.. but still I can select manual focus instead if I was given a choice,though..
But imagine SSM while taking a video, though not really that realistic, 70-200 on a NEX seems just way out of balance.. u'll prolly be holding the lens instead of the camera. and manual focusing it sounds so difficult with the NEX of course.. LOL

'The LA-EA1 adapter will have a motor to control the lens aperture but no way of driving the autofocus (even for SSM and SAM lenses with built-in focus motors)' Quote from Dpreview

Sad to say.. even with built in motor.. it doesn't have auto focus.. well.. correct me if I'm wrong =D

I think the maha powerEX is also around RM 49 for 4 right.. though I would opt for that one rather than non-branded for the same pricing..

woots.. this is interesting, quote from sonyalpharumours,
'- Autofocus should be working with the adapter and we have engineers still working very hard (maybe we can do it on a firmware upgrade).'

Means that in the future we might just be able to autofocus using NEX.. sorry if this is abit old =D
