Hi guys.....i have been driving my forte (1.6 SX, Clear White) for a week now. I have no problems with my car except this strange squeak/loose mounting kinda sound coming from the rear....i thick it is from the left hand side. Sound can be heard occasionally during uneven roads, during accleration from standstill or while reversing down a slope,gradient.

To be descriptive, the sound is like the sound you hear from an old bus using a leaf spring suspension setup when it gets really old(krik,krik.krik). Of course it aint that bad. Just wondering is it from the seat, or the suspension. I dont think a brand new car can emit sound from the suspension.

Any specific area that i should look into guys? This sound is ruining the cabin that is really silent. I memang pantang bunyi.

Guys...just a little input on the jerking issue. I have also been experiencing jerking, and it seemed pretty noticable today. Jerking happens when i downshift, ie when i slow down or depress the brakes. Normally happens within the 20-40km/h range. It will jerk two or three times

But when i am accelerating, i do not feel the jerking. Upshifts are quite smooth. Just the downshift repeated jerking. Quite annoying. Seems like the car is confused or trying to mate the sped with the suitable gear. Can it be solved

Besides that, is it true that the car lacks low end torque? Kinda need to push hard to gain decent momentum. Not high speed racing, just normal decent speeds

Bro thanks for the input. But how is it possible to put a light foot on the acc pedal during downshift?

To be more descriptive, downshift is more like when you are slowing down, when you are approaching the tol plaza for an example, naturally you will slow down, remove the foot from the acc pedal and depress the brakes lightly. During this time, the jerking feeling can be felt, sort of jerking pulling feeling .

Or for an example you are stuck in a jam, you will often need to slow down.....then you will also be able to feel this jerking sensation. Did nt have this when my car <1000km. Now mileage 2.3k already.

Just hope it aint a big deal. Keepin the positive attitude.

I am currently using semi-synt engine oil. Niway, i doubt its related to the fuel or the engine oil. Could be just the character of the drivetrain/transmission......but then again doubt it because not all owners are experiencing the jerking

Mine had this sound to....sounded like the suspension. Sent back to the SC, and after examination, it was something to do with the fitting of the rear seat/rear speaker board.

They added some tape to make the fitting better. Sound much less now.

But now the drivers seat is squeaking to glory

Bro...its quite normal. When i got my car, the coolant level was really low. When i went to the SC before my 1000km service to fix some problems, i checked with them and they said its ok...they will top it up during the 1000km service. I taught to my self, why dont u guys just top it up now....

Niway, they did eventually top up the coolant level during the 1000km service. So i guess ntg to worry about

Hey bro....so are we the few lucky ones to have the jerking issue?

Its starting to get on my nerves sometimes. Sometimes, its not so obvious. But occasionally, its kinda bad and very noticable. The jerking is mainly felt betwwen 40-60km/h.

My question to all sifus.....is it really a problem or just the character of the car? If i want to get out of the jerking/sluggish feeling, i need to press hard on the accelerator pedal till the car gains momentum.....haih.....At times, the jerk is also felt at downshifts

This is really destroying the otherwise fine driving pleasure

I got my car within one week .....also 1.6 SX white.

But this means there must be no delays in the loan process, registering process and the SA gotta be efficient. Gud luck
