tell us what managers that you guys think has made a great job to their respceted team this season.and elaborate(don't just give the name and go away)
BPL,SPL,Bundesliga,ligue 1,eredivisie,serie A,etc,all are count
....
for me: 1-Roy Hodgson-he took a team that is almost being regelated two season ago and transform it to a respectible team.they even beat last season's europa winner, italian giant, bundesliga champ in the process and turned old footballer useful again 2-Harry Redknapp-same story as above.beating arsenal and chelsea back to back.and proved that the "real madrid" way of managing the club isn't always going to work.lol 3-Alex McLeish-he took a regelated club out to the premiership and bring them in a place nobody expected.at one point birmingham was even on top of liverpool and everton

For me Carlo ancelloti(chelsea) 1st season and he do well with chelsea Roy hodgson (fulham) now fulham at the final europa legue Harry redknapp (spurs) bring the spurs at the top 4 roberto martinez (wigan) underdog, top 4 destroyer Also if can included David moyes (everton) 1 half at the season everton look struggle, but now they are safe.

of course it is the special one mourinho, beating Barcelona to go to CL final, currently top of the league and on course to complete a treble after winning the coppa italia
and he have a staggering 8 years unbeaten home record still going on.

We have this almost every season...Normally this kind of discussion is pointless....
this is why:
Man Utd fans will say Alex Ferguson because they've won the league cup... Arsenal fans will say Wenger because they remain in the Champions League next season Chelsea fans will say Ancelotti because they've won the league Liverpool fans will say Benitez for reaching UEFA cup semi final
rant on...

Well, as of this moment, the discussion is turning fine.
Except that post from The Zul.
To me, eventhough I support MAN UTD, I do think that Ancelotti did well.
Hodgson, Redknapp and Mourinho.

Claudio Ranieri - taking over Roma when Spalletti drove them to near bottom in the first half of the season and pushing them to title contenders.
Harry Redknapp -Tottenham qualifies for the first time to CL thanks to him.
Roy Hodgson - Fulham are on a dream run in the European stage because of him.
Avram Grant - purely inspirational. eventhough relegated, but made the fans believe in Portsmouth and even manage to get draws and wins out the blue. hoping he can pull a magic during FA Cup final.
Jose Mourinho - come on, beating Barcelona and successfully making the World's best player look like crap? you gotta give him credit man. he has the tactical smarts, the best.
and if Wigan manages to hold Chelsea to a draw/beat Chelsea, then
Roberto Martinez - lets Man Utd win the premiership lol
but the managers of the "season" (note inverted commas)
Leonardo - manages to turn AC Milan into 3rd place contenders. luckily the points gap are far far away.
Iain Dowie - what he has done is basically nothing. Hull are much better with Phil Brown. (i think)
Rafa Benitez - i won't say much, explanation not needed
and the best club of the "season"
Juventus - should have kept Ferarra in at least until the end of the season and then sack him. putting Zacherroni in is basically same as keeping Ferarra at Juve.
this, of course, is my own opinion. if you're not satisfied with me, then i apologize in advanced. because this is how I really think of the managers/clubs this season.

QUOTE(THE ZUL @ May 7 2010, 10:42 PM) bobby robson simply legend....make newcastle become 1 of top 4 years ago. I like him when he said...“ It wasn't the hand of God. It was the hand of a rascal. God had nothing to do with it... That day, Maradona was diminished in my eyes forever. ” I LOL'd Some of his quote: 1)“I'm not going to look beyond the semi-final - but I would love to lead Newcastle out at the final.” 2)“Alan Shearer has done very well for us, considering his age. We have introduced some movement into his game because he has got two good legs now. Last season he played with one leg.” 3)“The first ninety minutes of a football match are the most important.” 4) ___ back to topic.... Definitely Jose Mourinho... He makes Barcelona looks 'not proving enough' and showed the world that Barcelona is not only good in football but false diving as well... This is the one of the best thing he did to raise hatreds against Barcelona after his first red carded boy got out of the game. Seems that he got the revenge for his Chelsea's boys.

QUOTE(buzzfizz @ May 7 2010, 11:03 PM) Rafa Benitez - For making Liverpool unable to qualify for CL next season. Sorry and what have you won again lately? Everton 'qualified' for the Champions League in 2006 but how many remember again? Precisely. Roy Hodgson for me. Fergie and Ancelotti both did what was expected and in some ways, they maybe even underperformed. The EPL has no representative in the semis of the Champions League and it was left to Fulham to keep the English flag flying. Who expected that? Not I. In fact both Man Utd and Chelsea had hiccups at some point in the season and it's just good timing that neither capitalised. I just think that Fulham have exceeded expectations and beating Juventus 4-1 after going behind was just a phenomenal result. Their season hasn't even ended yet and a win in the finals would see them play against the Champions League winners. When was the last time and English manager with a good number of English players (Konchesky, Shorey, Johnson, Murphy, Zamora, Hughes, Smalling) got this far in Europe? The only blip would be their less than impressive standing domestically.

Ryan Hodgson - They beat juventus and last season's bundesliga champion wolfsburg, heading to the Europa League final. Imagine beating Atletico in final. Jose Mourinho - They are through the finals beating chelsea and barcelona. Carlo Ancelotti - Even with injury crisis, without key players like Essien, Bosingwa, Ashley Cole and ETC. Still top of the table.

And people keep talking about Mou being the best manager in Italy, but I think Ranieri really really did well with Roma as well. IINM, Roma were already some way off the pace when Ranieri took over right? But he brought Roma all the way to the final matchday.
