Ya agreed man, think lack of focus is more proper word.
For newer brand, I think Ball is true to its design.

Tag from US direct is cheaper? (sorry i'm not big into watches)

Cause I'll be dropping by US next month or so, grabbing some oakleys, if tag's cheaper might buy myself one..
*
not really. if U shop at outlet it maybe be cheaper. looking at the example.. 25% off MSRP is normal. 35% off alittle cheaper but with tax, may not be worth it.
most of the time is more expensive. Do your research well b4 u go.

Anybody know what the difference is between Christopher Ward C5 Malvern Aviator Mk II models C5AWT-MK2 and C5AWK-MK2? Specs and price are exactly the same.

C5AWT-MK2

EDIT - sorry, just realised the straps have different colours... haha...

Hmm looking to get one of those Pilot B-uhr inspired watches..

So which brand offers the best value?

Christopher Ward? ..And some of those other German brands like Stowa, MkII, Archimede, Steinhart, etc

Sinn is a bit more premium than these right?

Depends on your budget.

Laco - original maker, cheapest (Miyota), pilot strap
Steinhart - good review, value for money, big though (44mm)
Archimede - read not bad review, only got A dial (?)
Stowa - most expensive alll above, prepare to wait and paid vat, good quality, original maker
Sinn - not produciing pilot b

that's all i can think of.

Hmm Laco doesnt seem to have much choices and yeah Stowa is most ex

I m quite interested in either Steinhart or Archimede...Steinheart is ok and cheaper but doesnt seem to have a Date model

CW is cheapest albeit no watchmaking history as the rest smile.gif

best value...maybe Christopherward since its under RM$1300, uses Top grade movement in soft iron core case.

Archimede is using standard, Steinhart maybe standard. MKII is on elabore. Archimede case is better made.
Stowa is on elabore and its ~RM2K, cost more as its original FLIEGER. among all the original makers I think this best value.
sinn is on elabore grade, but they do a somethings on their cases so it cost more. of course with marketing it does make the brand more renown, but it also pass down the cost to consumers.

few FLIEGER have anti magnetic case. only CW, IWC, Speedbird.. on top of my head.
http://www.timefactors.com/speedbird.htm

history wise. CW, stienhart don't really have much history. CW is youngest brand.

I'm abit wary on purchasing watches online. There is little recourse if I do get a defetive product be it scratched or whatnot. Not to mention that Tag official website states they do not sell online.

To me if you can save a lot, bare the risk, and the watch is not available in here. Why not?
