I own a Tissot PRC200 (automatic version). Generally good watch, not much complain on Tissot watches generally. My uncle owns a Tissot (automatic version) too and it's more than 30 years old now, still running. My advice is get an automatic watch instead of quartz, better durability and has second hand value compared to quartz generally. The Tissot PRC200 picture you've posted is the quartz version I believe.
*
ya it got to be a quartz version. pic look just like the link below
http://www.amazon.com/Tissot-Mens-T17-1-58...h/dp/B000L3CHC0

for a Tissot the 2nd hand value is alittle better than a quartz, but if u do look at the real number U maybe losing more $$.
entry level watches resale value usually not there esp for a mass produce Tissot.

a PRC 200 auto chrono would have retail at ~US$795.00 even with 30% off thats still ~1.8K rm more than what he can afford.

@ franson, do u want to get a Chrono and look cool... or a simple plain auto?

You ask for it. First review in thread 2  tongue.gif

Been lurking for b-uhr (pilot watch) for few months now. Some history of the original WWII pilot watch can be found here, http://www.calibremagazine.com/node/305

Finally decided on Laco due to its price and originality of the b-uhr. Chose B dial coz I find A dial is too common and plain for my liking.
This is the original spec for B dial b-uhr. 55mm in size! Easily readable and wear outside the flight suit.
user posted image

Shipping was fast, 3 days from Germany to KL with FedEx.

Special request for no logo dial to reflect the original spirit of b-uhr. 42mm in brushed steel, mineral cystal glass, inner hour markers with outter minute markers. Still getting used to the short hour hand.
user posted image

Non screw-in onion crown, would not put a mark on the back of your hand like diamond crown.
user posted image

Polished steel clear case back with mineral cystal. Mitoya 8215 workhorse. Second hand running smoothly, no stutter issue so far (touch wood  sweat.gif )
user posted image

Original pilot strap with rivets. Strap alone costing EUR49.00
user posted image

Need some times to figure how to wear the strap  sweat.gif Strap sitting nicely on my wrist in last hole. People with small wrist might need to request for shorter strap or punch additional holes.
user posted image

Lume nicely with superluminova.
user posted image

And lastly, compulsory wrist shot.  rclxms.gif
user posted image

Very limited production due to parts availability (or financial difficulty), stocks usually sold off within days.
Laco, one of the 5 original makers of b-uhr, Make in Germany, albeit Japanese movement, EUR166.39 ~RM730 with free FedEx shipping.
Though not as historically correct spec as WUS LE, but I still think that this baby is a steal  rclxm9.gif

I recently bought an Orient watch for Father's day. It wasn't planned, as my friend wanted to service his >20 year old Seiko Bellmatic in this shop. There's this watch shop in Central market on the first floor, just go up the stairs. I can't exactly give good directions here but it shouldn't be hard to find.

They sell a decent range of watches, which includes Orients and Seikos. They also dedicate more than half of their shop to pre-owned watches ranging from vintage seikos, vintage omegas, to pre-owned Rolexes (Less than 10 of them, mostly pre-owned), Panerai (There were easily 10 Panerais of which most were BNIB), Corum, Omega, Tag Heuer, JLC and even Gerald Genta!

I was shocked when my friend brought me to this place, basically because there's minimum security with all the high end watches on display.

There was also this pre-owned JDM Seiko displayed outside with many complications which looked absolutely gorgeous.

Edit: There's also a watch shop in Times Square on the ground floor which carries Orient watches. Don't know any others.

really really love this thread~ biggrin.gif
thx again 1st for all the replies from the sifu esp patryn33 smile.gif
just to share a bit. previously I saw a TITUS Automatic watch at city chain which cost RM750 after discount. Love it so much and gone back home to study about TITUS before purchase it. However, I found few complaints about TITUS watch which the watch appear water vapor in the watch and the poor service by City Chain. After studying, there only I knew TITUS watch only can be found and purchased in City Chain. Besides, I couldn't find an official TITUS website too. My interest on the TITUS watch has lost half on it unsure.gif

There I looked into other watches that within my budget <RM1k and I found this TISSOT PRC200 Chrono watch at internet. Love it so much although it launched quite a few years ago. From internet majority of reviews are positive and the price is a little bit more from RM1k. Went to check at shopping centre AD and found about RM1.2k~ Called my friend who's a watch collector and he gave me a "watch supplier" contact. Make the story short, after hard nego with the supplier, he offered me the SAME PRICE for me this new TISSOT PRC200 Chrono watch compare to the TITUS Automatic that I saw earlier. I assume it's a good buy, ya? smile.gif

@patryn33: thanks for your reply. Seems TISSOT has less complaints comparing to TITUS, I think I would go for this TISSOT PRC200. and currently I still loving Chrono watch smile.gif

no giving it up for the JLC atmos.
having taken the size, price, movement and what not into consideration just got to let it go for now.
