Hey Bros, was wondering how's the matches today...Both you guys have a strong team, shld have some exciting matches....
Pity couldn't join you guys for meet up today cause busy setting up the automated water sprinkler system at my farm, need to get it done before i fly so that the FSes confirm got water to drink....the weather nowadays is really a killer....

Hi Bro,
Unfortunately, like what Bro Ric had mentioned, the plants withered and the FSes were nowhere to be seen, the area is also too small for the FSes, they tend to roam around quite extensively, but i will try again, hope this time it will be successful...

Btw, wanna share some nice photos, our pals went to HK for a hunting trip! Too bad I cant join them but am really glad they shared some nice pix for those who cant travel this time round, so that we can "experience" the trip..and.. to make us drool...lol...

Two vids to share on the harvest, think the guys were there for a couple of days already and there wasn't even enough containers to hold every FS they caught (Wish Sg is like this...lol..), hope the bros there can sort out the best fighters and SA, bring back to Sg to further populate and bring some vitality to the FS scene!

The hunting trip had been encouraging cause alot of FSes were caught (understand more than 100+), these kind of situation can only happen during the hay days of Sg, guess I gota make a trip to HK to experience it also...lol...

Hi Friends,
It has also been a while since I had last posted but I had always been following the thread and meeting up with the Bros for bouts and for gathering, the friendship that was bonded is impossible to let go and it would definately be a pity to do so...
Kudos to Bro Ricky and Randy for constantly updating the thread and keeping it alive, will also try to contribute my fair bit despite my busy schedule...

Now... everyone knows our dear friend exspiderking is a great hunter, who constantly produces great FS warriors to challenge the title and most often than not, would discover new hunting grounds and getting new big Fses to the fighting podium, but...his talent does not stop at this... here is why...

His performance really mesmerised everyone around... a great improtu performance from a great friend who not just rally the Bros but kept us dazzled...

Apart from this, I would like to share some of the developments at my farm, not fantastic but at least I have a few slings settling comfortably at my place...

This was a few weeks ago..

This was last week, there were actually two sub-adults there, one trying to invade the other's nest, had seen quite a few subadults and probably same females, they are not of fantastic size but... this is a good enough beginning for me... Will try to select them and breed accordingly...

Lateron on the same day, I noticed one of the sub-adults behaving abnormally, I took it out for observation and this is when happens right before my eye!

Nope... its not dead, if that was what it seemed, he is alive and running about lateron...


Brought one of the bigger sling from my farm to keep about two weeks ago and it moulted just a few days ago, think he shld be the biggest SA that I had in my farm as compared with the rest, some pix to share...

Quite a good sized FS with reasonable body and arms proportion so without further delay, I actually breed it with some of my females found at my farm so as to continue to pass down the good genes...

Nonetheless, I am contented with his first win, hope more will come for him...

Thanks Bro Randy for taking the effort to post our fantastic KL Hunting trip...
It was one of those trips that cannot be forgotten, and will be embedded into our memories so that we can sometimes revisit tastefully when we think about it, it was a really enjoyable time and we also brought our friendship to the next level.

Many thanks to Bro Viper for being such a wonderful host, bringing us (Randy, Rudy, Mindstorm and myself) to numerous hot spots for hunts, ferrying us to and fro and spending 3 x full days of his personal time just to take care of us! Thank you very much Bro! (In layman terms - 这种朋友那里找！) and not to forget our "Grand Master" Mindstorm for joining us on the Sat despite his tight schedule and Kudos also to Mindstorm 大嫂 for letting him join us as he is on "standby" for his second bundle of joy!

I was fortunate enough to have Bro Viper letting me take care of Zet and his 2nd King (named "Encik") else I wouldn't even have the chance to taste victory since years...lol...
Credit goes to Viper for bringing Zet into the community and for us to awe at his ability and size... now that this MAL/SIN national treasure is with me, my shoulders suddenly feel
heavy...lol... must really take care of this gem well and have as much breeding for him as possible...

Just this recent past weekend, I have another surprise at my farm, discovered another 2 x Sub-adult, good sized...

This heavily pregnant female was mated with GA, the abdomen size is astounding! Is this a reflection of the size of the eggs? I hope so! Lol...

Was Holidaying in Taiwan when I chanced upon some nice spots, after some "negotiating" with my wife (plus have to buy her something... ), I was allowed to explore for a while, sharing some pix from Taiwan...

There were alot of females and SA, saw one Jumbo SA bigger than the one i caught, but unfortuately alarmed him when approaching and he escaped...

The SA I caught later moulted to quite a sizable kang, approx. 8.5mm..






Didin't have much time to hunt, this place only saw Tsup, will be better if I have more time so that I can see if there are any Tbha in the area, well.. next time perhaps...

Based on my limited experience (sorry, dont have much Tsup to play with), i would think the TW Tsup stance is quite similar to HK. Randy had videoed quite a few bouts, think the Tsup goes by the name of "Steath Ninja". The fights were quite brief and pardon me, not as exciting... but well... they are a totally different breed of spiders altogether, cant really compare, similarly, we dont compare jumpers to tarantulas, just a simple analogy purely from my own perspective...

Sharing some updates on my farm project...

My hardwork and perseverance finally paid off.
Managed to breed some sizeable males + one female, with one male at an exceptional size..

13 Apr 13 saw one of my SA moulted to be a big male... not that my place is swarming with big FSes but now that one of such emerges thru my hardwork and patience, I am contented...

Today, i have a small area which i have dedicated in my farm to try my hands on selective breeding of FSes, as you can see, the SAs that could be found are really limited, it is not self-sustainable at the moment for a large number of them but i am striving towards that.

So far, i have managed to breed/rear some HK tbha : Guardian Angel - Thanks to Master Kim for passing me one gigantor Tbha female (10mm) frm HK whom I suspect her to be the mother of Guardian Angel (She is the only "foreign import" @my farm) + 2 HK Tbha SA where they later moulted to became 7mm+ males. I have use the two males to breed with another two local Tbha females, they were subsequently released to my farm, a few months apart after the release of the gigantor Tbha female. From the chronological order of events, I strongly suspect this batch of FS could be the offsprings from the two local Tbha females (mated with HK Tbha). Although unable to prove otherwise, lets just enjoy what is before us...

Pix taken just a few hrs later after moulted, can see the exoskeleton still fresh..






The color of this fs is quite unique, neither green nor blue nor gold color, looks like silver to me...

I have another SA left to surprise me, this SA was caught way before I caught Black Eagle, remember I had him one week before I went holiday (Ard 02 Mar 13), then I passed to Bro Randy to help me take care while i was away (Thanks alot Bro! ) Today is 22 Apr 13, it has been more than a month since I caught him and he hasn't moult yet!





Hope I can continue to improve the quality of the FSes, though not sure if they are good fighters but at least its a start...

P.S. Heard Master Kim has a SA moulted to 8.5mm! With Ricky now, let's see if he turns out to be the largest local breed Fs!

Thanks once again to Randy for taking all the effort to capture all these precious moments, kudos to him...

I have been so looking forward to the moulting of the one and only SA left in my collection but UGH!....
He has moulted no doubt... but did not survive... the form and color looks similar to Black Eagle, could be akin to him, it is really unfortunate as he could also turn out to be another sizeable fighter....





Life shall move on... and forward...!

I have proceed to try my hands to mate both Black Eagle and Mary Jane (Yes, the L-size virgin bu which i had successfully breed out at my farm), several attempts to mate these two L-size FS has proved futile as BE is young and MJ is big and aggressive, but on 23 Apr (yesterday), one such attempt was successful! Both of them mated (unfortunately too excited and didn't managed to capture on vid) and was separated lateron to prevent MJ from hurting BE... Let's await and see if both are fertile...



BE is shown to be more stable few days later.. both the form and color looks better now.
