It has been reported that in earlier posts that T.Sub females have been caught in Singapore. Just feel a bit strange that there are no reported cases of males being caught. But then, it does not mean that there are no male T.Sub males in Singapore.

Looking at previous posts, actually there are some quite big T.Bha caught in Singapore/Malaysia. e.g. Royale, Titan, Rakassa and Sapphire.

Actually those were not the real Thiania Subopressa Females which are found in HK, TW, China and etc.. instead we have coined it as the T.Red or simply SG Version T.Sub.. Males have been caught before also.. but very little, perhaps only 2.. Red Devil is the Biggest Caught Male, but was caught in Msia..

Yes those were some of the SG/Msia T.Bha Legends, the list is very long too.. smile.gif

Thanks Ura. But unlike T.Sub and T.Bha, T.Red is a term coined in this forum. It is not an official spider species. Correct me if I were wrong.

As at today, the biggest T-Bha is Tempest, body length of 8.7mm. On the other hand, you have advised and I agree that measuring T.Sub by body length is not a good measurement because the main difference between these two species is its arm length. And yet, it is extremely difficult to measure by arms length.

Yeah T.Red if im not wrong, was randomly coined by me that time.. that's why you did see T.Blue and T.Black as well.. all 3 Thianias are able to be found in SG.. it is unfortunately that, many thiania species were not macrophotographed in the past.. T.Bha and T.Sub are the only 2 really common thiania species i guess..

Yes another Body Part which is of Utmost Importance is the Head.. not just the Width.. the Head Length is also very Important.. most Huge T.Bha Males we ever caught in SG/Msia i realised their Head Length hardly exceed 3mm.. while many T.Sub Males reach 3.5mm to 4mm.. plus their really really Long&Thick Arms that makes the Whole FS looks so Gigantic..

Hi Everyone

Happy belated Valentine Day to all. rclxms.gif

Yes, Valentine Day, besides love all about friendship too and I do appreciate this unique warm friendship we fellow kaki have for each other. I never imagined that as a married working adult with 2 children, I would or could indulge in this hobby again. The difference between this wonderful hobby as a child and as a matured adult is surely the warm friendship we fellow kaki's have for/with each other.

As a child, it was (at least to me) winning at all cost and I did as a child quarreled with others over the disputed outcome of a match, lost sleep over losing and constantly yearning for championship recognition among my schoolmate. I even offered $1.00 (35 years ago $1.00 quite a handsome sum) to the school champion only to be turned down by him as someone had offered him $10.00. shocking.gif I lost some friends in my own blinded desire for primary school glory..all because I was immature and perhaps childish. Now as an adult, even though I still yearn for recognition and perhaps Fs glory, it is with a full dose of light hearted-ness. I realised that it is actually fun to lose and even more fun to work hard hunting to regain championship glory, but all in a fun adult way.

Well how does all these relate to Valentine Day??? Well the fun adult way include especially this warm friendship. It is heart warming to see Bros Rudy and Bro Ricky being warmly welcome in Malaysia while Bro Viper and Bro Jason being warmly welcome in Singapore. This warmth is the main difference between Fs as an adult and as a child.

To me, this warmth is reflected in our almost weekly FS fights always filled with laughter and happiness....lose or win. I am happy to be part of this cozy small group of FS who cordially invite me to join in the fights. Bro Seng, Vincent and Ah Kim being super old timer makes no distinction or mention about seniority and junior Kaki like me, Rudy and Ricky are all part of this one happy family. I may not have been champion for sometime but I am happy with our friendship. icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok enough lah.....Last night, met up for our mass fight. Present were Bros Ah Kim, Seng, Vincent, Ricky, Rudy and me.

I have not have any new addition locally and my 1st king is a gift from Bro Ura which I forgot to thank for. Thank you for biggrin.gif Patrick Tse.

The fights:-

Vincent's Lampow (Top) V Randy's Newly Caught (Bottom) 150212

Ricky's Jurassic (Top) V Vincent's Lampow (Bottom) 150212

Ricky's Jurassic (Top) V Vincent's Moody (Bottom) 150212

Ricky's Longkang (Left) V Rudy's Dragon (Right) 150212

Rudy's 1 Piece (Top) V Ricky's Dyna Force (Left) 150212

Ah....Sword of Damocles to fight Dino....size difference not too much...can

Randy's Sword of Damocles (Left) V Seng's Dino (Right) 150212

Luckily Sword of Damocles retained his arm as a noral Fs somehow target a Chopster arm as illustrated in my earlier post.

Vincent's Ready (Bottom) V Seng's Not Ready (Top) 150212

Ricky's Marble (Bottom) V Vincent's Ready (Top) 150212

Out comes my 1st king, Patrick Tse

Yes, head length is easier to measure. Talking about head length, it reminds me of your L7. Its fighting stance is unique, head out. I have seen a picture of India T.Bha. The head is "huge" but the arms are short.

Yoo bro Randy, yeah Valentine Day was just over and agreed that it's about love and friendship. I remembered that the SG fs activities started in year 2009 with bro Edwin and Yuda and from there on more and more SG kakis joined in the fun. Those times were great. No disputes and personal grudges. As more and more kakis joined in, there are bound to have someone who yearn for championship recognition. Its human nature when it involves competitions. Situation got worst with the introduction of foreign talents ( HK T Bha and T Sub ) and resentments were there. Things got worst in the later part of 2011 and escalated to 2012. This is very sad.

Hopefully as what bro Randy had said Valentine Day is not just for love but also friendship, I hope the hatred, resentments, angers, grudges will all be vanished and we still be bros and enjoyed the fs activities like yesterday once more ! biggrin.gif

Great post Bro Randy,

Seems like only an experience dad will know what is the perfect way to tell off a 'moody' and not 'ready child'. Im off old school so way i talk might resemble the way how my dad use to lecture me for spending most of my time 'liak' spider. Im glad old memories came back through your stories. as the matter of fact, I did invest quite a sum for really huge spider in my days. I remember winning an auction by paying $50 for a king spider in my school, with the agreed 5 installment still being paid after the fs pass away lol.

Couldnt bear losing, my pride constantly made excuses to tell, even before a match as a kid. I bet kids today are no different from our time as they too constantly come out with very imaginative excuses for losing, right mr moody, mr ready and mr not ready? tongue.gif some grow into a mature man but some remain a kid in a man's body.

p/s : the word 'not in the mood' and 'not ready yet' seems really convenient, is that why i keep hearing them in the videos? Bro Ricky, your 'kukujiao' still not ready?why didnt see him fight?

hi Bro John,

You have done a great deal in narrating all the fights, it really add more will to watch that particular video narrated. I apologise if i have created unpleasant feeling within you through my comment earlier and hope you will still find enjoyment in narrating and watching the fights smile.gif , who knows u will one day perhaps come out of retirement to find bigger joy in the arena itself.

p/s : try get second opinion from internet or trusted source for your doubts/questions for better digestion, a half cook food which contradict with the recipe will ache your stomach let alone the source of recipe is without prove of health issue...

cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason, $50 that's hell lots of $$ drool.gif at that time, M$50 = S$50 then!!

Thanks for the advice. The other day I went to Trevally's spider blog. Enjoy
1. the different types of spiders. that's basically how we classify spiders in Singapore by the colour stripes in the abdomen
2. the different ways of catching spiders. to me, the big plastic bag and scissor method is still the most effective
3. the containers to house spiders. Now, spiders live in a palace
4. the fight involving Yuda's BIG spider. On the youtube, that spider really looks huge. Wondering what is its size.

I also found out that T.Bha is a very common spider species in Asia (from India to China). Yesterday, I asked my Myanmar (Burmese) friend whether he ever catch spiders in his kids' days. He said, "no". When I showed him our forum and some pictures of T.Bha, he told me he has never seen such spiders before. The strange thing is that he lived in the village/countryside. Will ask around other nationalities.

Hi John, oh haha my name is John as well tongue.gif

Thanks for visiting my spider blog. Its histroy and I've not update it for very long time. I'm gald that I wrote the blog as it serves as a wonderful memories of those good times wtih the kakis.

You mean this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHEVJpNvNrM...player_embedded ? Yes, at that time Yuda spiders clamied to be the biggest. It should be L size and most of us only managed to get M to SL size till Ken25 intro us to NTU tongue.gif

Hi twin John biggrin.gif

Yes, it is that spider. Another video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvRGWdtncWg&feature=related. It can be misleading because one is small/the other big. But look at the length of that FS's arms.

Actually, I also enjoy rearing tropical fishes like you. So we are twins. tongue.gif

Wah, long time never post! So many things happen!

I've been very busy. Glad to see old kakis are back, also new kakis join.

I must say I agree with Trevally. This forum started by mindstorm and viper88 way back in 2008 has survived to 2012.
Not easy because unlike other sports this fs game few people take seriously after schooldays.
Compared to other sports we have very few kakis! More reason to treasure those of us who are fellow sportsmen!
So peace, peace.

For the record I must say Ura has done very well since we all met to go Pulau Ubin in 2009: the biggest T.sub and T.bha from Hong Kong, thanks to XArms. Also the longest fight time with Zaly. Very good macro photos also.
Viper88 brought us Genji and Rindamann, two of the most colorful species, which nobody else has been able to catch. Rudy got the Red Devil from his hometown. Randy giving us the very clear HD videos, excellent. Ricky caught Wolverine n Cyclops , and for a period produced unbeatable champions. Jason, bringing the Singapore and Malaysian kakis together - without you, I think the SG and Msia kakis won't meet so often......

The fs community is so small, so I hope we all remain on good terms.....

Good luck and best wishes to all!!!!!

Hi Everyone

It is nice to hear from Bro Jong again and yes, peace, friendship and love. rclxms.gif

I have also asked about Fs from oversea friends and the caretaker of the villa in Bintan Island, Indonesia never heard about FS too. Did also ask a Thai friend and he never seen it though some kids in the kampung in the southern part of Thailand were spotted playing with them (he told me one).

$50.00 for a spider????? Actually I would have done the same..... biggrin.gif

The continuation of the fights and ahh... Patrick Tse my 1st King due to his size. I normally avoid fighting 1st kings :-

Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) V Ricky's Chow Yun Fat (Top) 150212

Yes, Patrick Tse fighting Chow Yun Fat???? doh.gif Only happens in our happy Fs circle. Also the most unusual names for the next fights.

Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Top) V Vincent's Master Bed (Bottom) 150212

Rudy's HK2 (Right) V Randy's Putra (Left) 150212

Ricky's Freeze (Top) V Rudy's HK2 (Bottom) 150212

Ricky's Freeze (Right) V Rudy's Dragon (Left) 150212

Ricky's CaoSheet (Top) V Rudy's HK1 (Bottom) 150212

Rudy's HK3 (Right) V Ricky's Caosheet (Left) 150212

Bro Ricky's Immortal Ku2 appears to be in good form.

Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Right) V Rudy's HK3 (Left) 150212 (Recommended: thumbup.gif )

Randy's Patrick tse (Bottom) V Rudy's Red Devil (Top) 150212

The last 3 fight will decide the overall winner

Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) V Ricky's Freeze (Top) 150212 (Recommended: thumbup.gif )

Ah Kim's APeno (Top) V Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) 150212

Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Right) V Ah Kim's APeno (Left) 150212 (Recommended: thumbup.gif )

The surprise overall winner is Bro Ricky's Immortal Ku2..... unusual name but big strong and hard (i guess only lah)

Once again, we had our simple happy get together (Seng's void deck) with Fs from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Your Exspiderking

Randy

So it does appear that T.Bha FS hobby/game/sport is not very popular elsewhere.

Something in my mind which I always wanted to ask. All of us will agree that T.Bha lives in many kinds of leaves. But how's about pineapple leaves, rose leaves, sugar cane leaves, water lily leaves, orchid leaves? Caught/seen T.Bha on such leaves? brows.gif

1. Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) V Ricky's Chow Yun Fat (Top) 150212
Good to see that Ricky is back with new acquisitions. Hopefully, he did not pay $50 to acquire them. CYF (Fatt? or deliberate Fat) looks fatter. But Patrick is fiercer.

2. Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Top) V Vincent's Master Bed (Bottom) 150212
What strange names?? Is Vincent's spider name spelled wrongly? cool2.gif Good fight.

3. Rudy's HK2 (Right) V Randy's Putra (Left) 150212
Two not so new and not so old spiders. Worth a look.

4. Ricky's Freeze (Top) V Rudy's HK2 (Bottom) 150212
Good to see old bird Freeze back in action. And still in form. Great fight.

5. Ricky's Freeze (Right) V Rudy's Dragon (Left) 150212
And continue its form rclxms.gif

6. Ricky's CaoSheet (Top) V Rudy's HK1 (Bottom) 150212
Hmm, no fight? CaoSheet walks and then HK1 runs.

7. Rudy's HK3 (Right) V Ricky's Caosheet (Left) 150212
Great fight.

8. Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Right) V Rudy's HK3 (Left) 150212 (Recommended: )
An even greater fight. From highland to lowland.

9. Randy's Patrick tse (Bottom) V Rudy's Red Devil (Top) 150212
Here's come Favorite Red Devil. What a funny video. Red Devil wants to engage Patrick but in the end, also gave up.

10. Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) V Ricky's Freeze (Top) 150212 (Recommended: )
A newbie vs an oldie. Great fight.

11. Ah Kim's APeno (Top) V Randy's Patrick Tse (Bottom) 150212
Here's come the huge spider, APeno. He is fierce. Decided to grasp Patrick for a fight.

12. Ricky's Immortal Ku2 (Right) V Ah Kim's APeno (Left) 150212 (Recommended: )
Immortal is fierce. APeno pushes hard. Immortal blocks well. Think APeno was bitten.

Looks like Ricky's spider is back in action. He must have been missing himself from this forum to build up his new team.
But then, the same old question, why not SoD vs Immortal to round off everything? hmm.gif
The same answer? Need to rush off? laugh.gif
Anyway, the usual, thanks to Randy for posting all these exciting fights. rclxms.gif

For me, it is very simple.
1. Too big
2. Too eerie
3. In my country of Singapore, wondering where to find such spiders

Hi Bro John, Rudy here Welcome to the club(FS). Can I call u "Mystery Man"..., cos we like reply to auto machine, like IPhone 4s SIRI, u know what I means?? I like the way u comments abt our FS fighting Video, some good & bad, more good if u can comment it's live...at the same time we can chit-chat abt "how last time u care ur FS" or any Secret spot to recommend us n many more etc.... anyway thanks for praising my FS One-Piece & Red Devil, lucky to have them thou, even they are not champion in SG or any other country, but they are "The People Champion " for this period of time or not at all I guess hehehe!!!

Hmm...I sense heat in here, hope it's will not convert in to fire or else we need to call firefighter 

I would like to thanks all FS kaki which make this hobby still exist till now.... Peace to all...

Your Assassin's Creed
