Thanks. I just use Bro Mindstorm's method to show the fight in pic frame. I find the chopster fight between Pain and So So have a lot flip and slam actions very interesting so just share it out. Others fight also good but i've limited time to post much coz c tv and do other stuff..
The Genting FS bigger size than Tasik Perdana Fs.. c the head size... bigger but still lost.. 1 with long arm after lost on Sun.. kecut till yesterday fight.. not yet recover from the short fight fobia.. These 3 Genting FS still not ready for any good fight actions.... just 1-2 chop ady run away. Only the Tasik Perdana Fs can fight but size only abt 6mm+.
Added on October 20, 2011, 10:10 am Hi Bro Viper,
You always amaze me with your analyzing skills. a short fight can be so interesting after being analyze properly.
Its because of your intepretation on the complicated fight which made me see over and over again the fights. I think
no one else can analyze the way you do man, bravo
p/s : Bro, the genting fs looks about 7mm d, still very young with white legs. keeping for further training would be a good idea. cheers, Jason
[ Yea hope I will have sparring partner soon. maybe will held a small competition on our own like 4v4, what do you think bro Viper ? cheers, Jason

Nice to have u back here. Colourful orchids make nice decoration and feel fresh to look at.
Bonzai caught my attention lately.. small little tree with leaves.. Kinda pricey also for the nice unique design..
I went to JB on Sat & Sun to visit friend and went for some short tour around JB area.... Bro Jason msg me informed have some FS gathering on Sun but i was bz being a tour guide moving from one place 2 another place in JB
One of the places i went was Istana Sultan Abu Bakar Johor.. theres a big garden. Flipped at some leaves saw a familiar white face Size quite small, so i released back... Didnt really spent time chk for FS there coz abit paiseh with my fren wanted to walk around and see the area more than seeing me catch FS.
Stayed at Permas Jaya area, saw a whole stretch of leaves area at Jln Permas 8/1, Permas Jaya. .. looks like a potential FS hunting spot also. Maybe u guys at SG can go try hunt for FS in JB area on weekends.
Too bad, my time is limited during my visit to JB, i didnt catch any FS there..
Heres some short FS fight after i back from my short JB visit... not much improvement also on these Genting FS...abt 3 weeks ady they still like no mood to fight and no will to win also. No chopster to train them ..
The longest arm FS still kecut..

Dear FS Bros, How you guys doing? Actually intend to drop by early last Sunday at Nir* to meet up during the tournament but overslept, luckily still managed to catch hold of some old pals, Ah Seng, Ah Kim and Vincent...and it is my pleasure to have met new pals Bro Ricky and Sofian (Nice meeting you guys! ) Saw some FS bouts, flipped some leaves and that did it.... Made me bite my own words that i would retire from hunting and venture into orchids... damn... guess the poison still in me. The adrenaline just keep coming.....rekindled the hunter instincts and the euphoria rush when you see a white face between the leaves....
I am still keeping my orchids, actually has a orchid place and spent most of my weekends there tending to them but i really hope to join you guys for hunts soon and have some fun! Count me in for the next hunt!
Finally before i sign off, Kudos to all bros here who have been keeping this hobby alive and bringing them to new heights, with so many great FS Champions discovered, i would say it is a remarkable feat!
Love the camaraderie that we have built from this forum and really looking forward to meeting all bros! Cheerios! BTL

Alot solid strong FS fights among u with bro Kim and Bro Seng.
My comments posted in Youtube.
Bodoh vs Nirvana2: Can see abt 8X chops.. good fighting will sia. Good potential to give other FS some strong fight. YTH vs G-String: Wow.. abt 40 secs both FS taunting each other to fight! YTH have stronger bites. Just with 1 strong bites makes G-String retreat ady. YTH vs Platinum: Fierce! Platinum strong and aggresive fighter! Falcon vs Suppow: Think Falcon still not fully recovered from previous fight injuries. Its left arm abit shaking at the beginning before fight. This SUppow aggresive and fierce.. bites also painful. Virus vs Lastic: Damn aggresive and strong fighting will! Virus vs Machine: Solid match! strong arm lock grab, strong chops, strong fighting will.. Continuous active fierce fight more than 1 mins! These 2 FS damn fuxking strong!
A well balance match-up among strong and aggressive FS will produce exciting fights!
Congrates to Bro Seng and his FS for winning

Hi everyone,
Last night had a late Fs bout with bro kim & seng at bro seng's void-deck,here's the fights:(sry for low quality video recorded by hp)
Added on October 28, 2011, 7:31 pm14 FS all died.. RIP...
QUOTE(leejason99 @ Oct 28 2011, 11:19 AM)
HI guys,
It has been some time since I last updated. My last batch of fs (total 14) all died due to unknown desease, they start to walk slow then backside roll in like dog's tail, shrink and died one by one. Suspect it was the maid spraying glass cleaning liquid while cleaning near my fs.caught a few chopster on weekend an here are 2 fights.
I wanted to hlp catch some large size FS and also give Bro Jason FS some good fight/spar. So decided to ask him out to hunt together today.
Abt 9.30 am Technology Park Malaysia.
Only managed to catch abt 2-3 FS.... normal size only. So decided to spar our FS. I brought alot my 4 Genting FS and 1 Perdana FS to spar with Jason FS.. Some of the FS fights videos. Sorry.. today din use good camera to record.. only use PDA hp camera.
There are also some video recorded by Bro Jason, maybe he'll upload later.
After sparring, Bro Jason brought me to another hunting spot..
Abt 11.30 am Farm area.
This is a great FS hunting spot. Caught about 10 FS from this place. Some are chopster type and some are good fighters type FS. Bro Jason have very good hunting skill, sharp eyes and good luck. He managed 2 catch 2 Large size FS Size abt 7.5 - 8mm+. He keep shouting " Wah.. big BIG! BIG one! I also caught some FS.. but size slightly bigger than normal.
The largest one he caught when we were abt to leave that place due to hot sun coz afternoon already. Its not a easy catch coz that FS walk in deeper near the core of pandan leaves.. With his steady hand.. he managed to catch it! Very good catch indeed! Its been quite some time since i saw Large size T-Bha FS last time i SG. This newly caught FS abt 8mm size definitely in large size category. I feel his largest caught FS is around Titan size.... very big head but arm slighty shorter.
Some of the chopster fight at the Farm place.
Later we when back to bro Jason's house to spar the FS.
Check out his water spray for FS to drink water Damn big sia!
Some of the newly caught FS fights videos recorded using my pda HP. Bro Jason also recorded some fights, maybe later he'll upload.
After that, we went for lunch ard 3pm.
Abt 5pm, reach next hunting place Cheras Look Out Point.
This is the place where i caught Giant Bu, few yrs back. Try search around but mostly female, spiderlings and small males fs. Then suddenly.. Bro Jason shouted again.. "This one quite big!" .. He caught another big male FS... size should be more than 7mm+ After search for awhile and cant find anymore fs, Bro Jason decided to test the newly caught FS. I put my Perdana fs in to test spar. Can see the size different.. the newly caught FS is much bigger than my Perdana Fs.
Some arm pushing, and few chops.. my Perdana FS won. Bro Jason's recorded the fight video, maybe later he will post it up.
Around 6pm, we decided to call it a day and go home.
Its a great FS hunting and FS spar/fights today.
All in Bro Jason caught 3 good size FS today.

Post some pics of ur spider here when u free. Is it Gold and black colour? I saw some bfr few times, quite small but didnt catch coz its not type of fighting spider i'm hunting for which is T-Bha.
Maybe u should see Bro Seng's spider..about 15mm ++. Very cute spider indeed... black and white colour.. with big smilling teeth
QUOTE(Yamaha 444 @ Oct 31 2011, 09:44 AM)
Hi .. i'm new here.... owned - The Beast (golden fs) - GIANT size measuring 13MM.. unbeatable among my fren fs and recorded a 40 win-0 lose in total facing 23 fs since caught it from kaki cameron highland...
Ya...continuous or too many strong/ fierce fights will drain FS alot of energy. Maybe should find some ways to make both FS sides have a fair fight? Or the FS kakis can decide who and which fs he wants to fight with..
My suggestion: Each FS kakis take their no. 1 king vs no. 1 King to fight only.. with Elimination style. If too strong/fierce fight... maybe should consider let the FS have longer rest or other day fight. Can also use other no. 2/3/4/5 fs to fight if feel the 1st king need longer rest, dpds on each kakis whether they agree fight or not.
I still remember the fight between Archilles vs Spartan. eventho its only abt 20-30 secs fight... Archilles lost, jump from the fight platform, fainted.. climb up abit and fainted again. Spartan won but walking slow.. keep inside fs case.. not moving.. stay still until next day only recover to walk back.
In Archilles vs BigHead..
Archilles defeated BigLeaves earlier.... rest few minutes before fought with BigHead. When Archilles lost to BigHead, i ask for 2nd round fight.. but bro Mindstorm said Bighead injured coz takes too makes chops attack, need longer time to rest.. so no 2nd round fight.
QUOTE(Spideric @ Oct 31 2011, 07:54 AM)
Thanks to bro Randy's effort for taking clearest videos for us and posted all the fights in same day
I was so sweats on yesterday's battles due to other bros has raised up their standard of Fs strength especially fr bro Seng, all my newly recruit Fs can't even be seeded warrior including some of my reliable "skilled Fs"...
My views of Virus vs G-String: it is too early to claim G-String as a new champ, the match is considered un-fair match to me. Virus had a furious fight with my Machine before face up with G-string,lost in the match bcos nearly exhausted due to earlier "xiong" battle...shall let them to have a re match.
Ya.. u hunted at open hot sun area much longer compare to me.. hunted at shaded area No wonder u caught all the big FS.
I only keep 7 FS. 1 Perdana FS. 4 Genting FS (2 for spar) 2 small chopster FS.
The other FS i caught cant fight well and not good size. I already released them all.
Yeah.. u miss out 1 more FS video 2 upload.. the last video where my FS Perdana vs ur newly caught FS.. abt 7mm size from Look Out Point.

Hi Everyone,
Very good matches and gathering in sg, me and viper also wish to have that many people playing fs here .. Bro Ricky,
Thanks for helping to upload Titanium's pic. your pc skill superb..make me feel so so outdated Bro Viper,
Finally I feel a bit better after whole day hunting on Saturday, its really tiring hunting under burning sun. I hope Titanium will live up to its size in another few weeks. How many fs you keeping now? I can see 4 fs cramp in one containers of yours, I think you get many fs leh
Im hopeful for another hunting trip before I enter the shaolin tournament in sg here are some fights involving bro viper and my fs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YNs43ZB4a4 - I forgotten who's first king was above Finally a 10 min fight....800mb before suppressed, 200mb after suppress. took me like forever to upload.....
Found some info from the net today. I think its related to chopster FS... since some fierce chopster have difficult to ahem.. xxx with females... they becomes super aggresive and fierce fighter!
"Castrated" Spiders Are Better Fighters, Study Says With genitals gone, battling males "have nothing to lose."
The scientists found that amputated genitals effectively plugged up a female spider 75 percent of the time. In addition, the team saw that males with missing genitals were far more aggressive and active in guarding females.
During contests between males, full eunuchs that had lost both pedipalps were better fighters than half eunuchs and intact males, the study showed. Overall, the eunuchs were more than three times more likely to attack, chase, and defeat any rivals.
The scientists think that, once a male has lost his means of procreating, he protects his investment further by becoming a superwarrior.
"We think, but are not sure, that the changes in behavior may be due to changing hormone levels" triggered by losing the pedipalps, said study co-author Matjaž Kuntner, a spider expert at the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Ljubljana.
"But the ultimate reason for this behavior is that eunuchs, with no reproductive future, have nothing to lose and risk more in contests."

I was searching for some spider info on the web when came accross that websites.
I think during fight..some of the venom bites unable to neutralize... causing their hormone lvl and behaviour change. The FS unable to do normal fighting stance or courting stance.. and later becomes very fierce.
Previously I also have Chopster FS that later becomes back normal after some fights. Maybe its hormone lvl or genital working back to normal after some fights.

Bro,
Thanks for finding these facts. It cast all my doubts about a chopster's behavior. could it be because they lost their genitals when fight with a chopster and not because they learn the fighting skill from them which turn a normal fighter into a chopster? because when a chop happen, im sure its more severe than pushing thus someone loses something eg teeth, genitals etc
Yeah.. great fight indeed. SG T-bha FS fight quality keeps improving and amazes me. So many new blood that can fight very well with strong fighting will. Heard bro ricky himself have his own FS training boot camp for all his FS... abt 30 of them..
Special training and fight for top fighter. Check out the commentary and slow motion KO attack. See until the end of the video.

Hi Everyone
Congrats to Bro Seng for being champion again. His Virus very strong and at the last fight even did a suplex (must watch wrestling to understand).
The Ok fights are actually very exciting long fights.
Currently despite maximum daily effort, still can't get one good ML sized one to wrest the title belt from Bro Seng and/or Bro Ricky.
The answer to my quest to be champion again may lie in my smallest FS, Babe II (M sized). Don't laugh, I am a believer of small win big, though my small always lose to big during actual battle. Anyway, I now have my very own small win big fight video:-
Its good to have an old timer FS kakis in this forums. I never c any ang moh played fs bfr.. except from SG Fighting Spider Season 1 & 2 drama series.... Peter.
Most of the FS kakis in SG/Malaysia are also old timer with many yrs of experiences and also some r newly FS kakis joining along with their fast learned up skills. Old or new timer ... all also FS kakis. Feel free to share infos and post some comments here.
From ur posting.. something caught my attention.. "After hunting for so long, you can literally feel them and sense their presence. Also they have a type of smell if you are sharp enough to sense them."
So far,,, I only can smell the pandan leaves and wild peper leaves.... can feel their presense from the nest and and types of leaves but cant sense the smell of FS yet.

Woah! Hi everyone! I'm an old timer 80's kid from Singapore who grew up completely FS seow. I am the first true 'ang-moh/mat salleh' FS addict. Took me 2 days to read this 80 plus pages thread. Growing up all over S.E.A, I have been a hardcore FS hunter since primary 3 back in the day after I was introduced these guys by a malay classmate of mine who had a blood thirsty chop. My addiction grew until its climax right before o-levels, when the trend began to wain with gaming consoles being the new thing for kids. In later years young kids were taken by such things as Digimon, Pokemon, all of which are based on the culture of FS. Luckily, I taught my younger brothers how to be expert FS hunters. I often cycle more than 20km and trek into any jungle if I sense a spot. Looking back, I was more ballsy than now - just sitting in my office wearing shirt and tie. I stopped catching and playing these shortly before NS, once in a while getting back in an afternoon hunt for a King Kong Pao. After NS, I went on to breed and fight fighting fish, also known as plakat. Now almost reaching my 30s, I just recently began hunting again 5 days ago. It's great to see this forum thread, as back in the day we did not have any communication on spots, techniques and were all mad hunters in our own ways. Glad to know that there are people like me. Lotsa great training taboo still make me laugh when I recall them (eg: chilli padi, putting the kang in your elbow and squeeze him so he bites and sucks your blood). Yesterday, I went back to some of my old hunting grounds, some secret spots still untouched, others urbanised beyond recognition. I live in the East now, but no doubt areas such as, Thomson, Bishan, Bukit Timah, Peirce, LCK and Sembawang are still the best haunts due to the presence of large forestation area with water sources still there. After hunting for so long, you can literally feel them and sense their presence. Also they have a type of smell if you are sharp enough to sense them. I am glad that some areas still have healthy stock. Great also to see that some bros here have T.Sub variations. Though some might argue against it, I truly believe that T.Sub wild variations can be caught in SG. I myself have landed a few with iridescence covering almost 70% of the legs. Very rare but highly possible. Big respect to all the videos, pictures and support from the bros on this thread keeping an awesome tradition alive. Okay, I'm off to hunt some in a nearby plot during my lunch break in a tie. Haha. Hope to catch up with some of you guys for a little sparring. Cheers!!
Yup.. SG FS fights very exciting. Having good time watching from youtube in office and after work. So many strong FS and alot good fights.
RIP to YTH and Titanium... Too bad cant see more good fights from these 2 large size FS.
I only have 6 FS.
Perdana Genting Longarm (1 arm broke off, maybe stuck by own web inside case) Genting FS 2 Genting FS 3 Genting FS 4 ( Jump from platform after lost and ran away.. cant find it...) 1 Chopster.
Some recent videos.
Only Perdana quite good fighter.. abit fierce nowdays:hehe:, others still average ..

Yeah.. Xander have strong fighting will and determination to win the fight
Size different is very obvious! Sakura seems underestimated Xander. Xander much smaller but keep attacking continuously. Abt 13X close range grab, chops and strong push! Xander uses its hind leg to do jump push several time! Sakura get pushed back and on defensive mode most of the time, only did 2-3X counter attack, try to attack from higher position and flipped Xander but still not able to stop Xander relentless attack! Sakura retreat in the end after kena bite many times. Good fight!
Thiania FS species... a well known type of spider that can fight thats why ppl call these species as fighting spiders. Males thiania species alwys the stronger and dominant types..especially when comes to fighting. With good spar and strong fight.. the male thiania fs have good chance to improve their fighting skills.
Its just that some of the Thiania sub species males dont have much exposure or chance to fully display their fighting capability and lack preference among its FS kakis. To think about the thiania subspecies female FS fight overshadow their males fs fights, more preferred and tons of videos uploaded in youtube all this while/previously, its quite odd and yet amazing.
Good to know theres some new videos to show these thiania males species can fight as good as it should be expected from thiania species line.
Found this article while browsing in office. MySinchew 2010.11.16
BAHAU, Negeri Sembilan: It seems that the children of Bahau have lately revitalised the traditional game of the 1950’s and 60’s, spider-fighting!
They are searching for a species of spiders called Thiania subopressa (meaning "Leopard Tiger") among the green leaves.
Thiania subopressa usually hide among the leaves. There are obvious differences between the male and female spiders. For example, a male Thiania subopressa has white face and long legs, and is very active.
Whenever a male Thiania subopressa meets another male spider, both of them will crook their bottoms and lift up their claws to fight.
Due to the aggressive nature of male Thiania subopressa, children love to catch them, and the owner of the winning fighter will generally get excessively elated at the end of a tough fight.
The invincible fighter that has won all the fights will be called the "Head King," and its owner will also become well-known in the spider-fighting game.
A more acceptable pastime
In the 50’s and 60’s, catching Thiania subopressa was a trendy hobby among the children who would cycle for miles just to catch these eight-legged fighters.
Thiania subopressa have also been given other names based on the locations where they are caught, such as "Sugar Cane Leopard," "Yam Leopard" and so on in order to add up the fun of catching them.
Some parents think playing spider-fighting could be a kind of hobby that could keep them away from computer games that could adversely affect their studies. (Translated by LIM LIY EE/Sin Chew Daily)
