Simply amazing! Never thought that any fs fight can last longer than the previous record held by Viper's fs. And here we have it. Wonderful documentation. Great to see viper also took the time to sum up the actual fight time... must see wheather active fight time match up to his record hor.

Firstly, training via repeated fights certainly raises the tenacity of these fighters tremendously. What a big difference between the willpower of these fs compared to those that run after 1-2 second push.
Secondly being evenly matched in size also counts.
Thirdly, I think the way the 2 fs fights also is important in determing how long the fight can last. If one is exceptionally skillful and aggressive, i guess the fight will end early. In other words, fights where serious injury is inflicted fast will certainly be shorter than fights where both fighters either do not inflict serious injury or have the skills to avoid them.
In fs, flank attacks to the legs, especially near the base, is a actually pretty potent technique in finishing off the oponent. We can see early in this fight, while the fs are still fresh and energetic, there are attempts to target the legs(eg at 3s, 10s, 22s) but the counter attacks is pretty solid. Towards the middle and end of the fight, direct teeth to teeth pushing seems to be tolerable to both fs, hence the fight can drag on. I think the crucial point was at around 7.57 where the winner got hold of the loser's pedipalps, and i suppose injecting venom into the loser, and holding on right up to 8.31. After that can see the loser is quite dazed(8.44) and subsequently unable to carry on.
All in all, a superb match and certainly a groundbreaking record.
Anyway, thanks a lot, bro Ura, for the upload(s) and it's really nice to know how much you enjoy fs catching.
For me, while hunting fs, it is like time can stand still and 2-3 hours can past in a blink of an eye.
Yeah Mindstorm, strongly agreed with all the 3 criteria you listed. Just to add in 1 more point, at the 4:05s while Ratchet was hanging underneath at the egde of the leaf, fortunately he was still able to cling on it despite his fatigue.
If not things would have turned out differently.
By the way there is a sad news to announce, Zaly told me that Ratchet has RIP few days ago. But i don't know about the details yet. Maybe just as what you supposed, Aso was really injecting venom into him at the 7:57s. Despite so, Ratchet definitely made a very good name for himself as a fs born in our fave spot N*U.
Aso is still jumpy and healthy for now, after 2 full days of rest.

Hi Ura.
Maybe you can give some details of the FS fight.
Which FS is more aggressive in attacks throughout the fight.
Which FS get stunned/ rest long (theres a very long break almost 3mins in the middle of the fight)
Which FS get bite arms/legs/teeth?
From the video i can see, it seems Ratchet is in control throughout the match but in the end sumhow Aso managed to make a comeback and won the fight.
Mindstorm, since you did the timing count for my FS fight previously (4 mins fight 2mins break), maybe you can do a comparison of the active fight time between these 2 long fight videos. Which of these 2 FS fights you think are more active and longer fight contact duration?
Cheers,

No problem..
As we can see, from the 0:00s to 0:59s Ratchet(the fs with smaller abdomen and darker color) being the more aggressive one, was vigorously using lots of arm pushings. Strongly determined to overpower Aso at all costs. Aso was being bitten on his arm for twice at the 0:21s(a short one) and 0:42s. Ratchet was in well control of the fight right from the beginning, but Aso has also done his part well by not conceding defeat easily despite a long duration bite on his left arm at the 0:42s.
However, things start to get better for Aso from the 1:00s on. Probably getting real furious after the long bite, he began to exert more strength to push against Ratchet. At the 1:08s, attempting to make the attack even more effective against Ratchet, who looked rather stunned now, he moved backward on purpose, charged forward and launched a forceful surmounting grab onto his head. But it was not an easy task for Aso, Ratchet was only looking stunned, definitely still in a very conscious state, constantly blocking and countering every arm-push well from Aso, no matter how hard Aso tried.
And this continued until the 1:59s point when Aso got no more strength to continue the pushing game and both rested face to face with their arms opened wide. At the 2:48s we can see Aso was trembling, probably exerting too much strength just now and his arms feeling really "sour" by now. On the other hand, Ratchet despite still looking stunned, was in a ever-ready state to counter Aso's pushes i believe. And this break continued until 3:15s when Aso lifted his head towards Ratchet, staring at him looking ready for a 2nd round soon and started pushing him again on the 3:21s.
The pushing game was in a slower pace as both fs were really exhausted by now. And it now took place very near to the edge of the fighting platform. Ratchet was being pushed over the edge at the 4:05s, fortunately he was able to cling onto the underneath, hanging there for few secs. Attempting to climb back to the surface at 4:10s but fell back again when Aso stared at him at the 4:13s.
Aso, still looking quite fine at this time, decided to go underneath instead to continue the 3rd round at the 4:20s.
At this point of time Bro Zaly also did a nice job by turning the leaf in a slow manner. If not, the 2 fs might have fallen to the ground. And now it begins the long break where there is no fight action in this 2+mins long break. Lots of hesitation from Aso, he was trying to go near Ratchet but didnt really start. Signs of half-hearted attempts were at 4:27s and 5:16s. Aso who looks rather disorientated now, really took a non-pressurized break at this time by being able to turn his back right in front of Ratchet to even lick his arms/legs, a total of 5times. Nevertheless, a stunned looking Ratchet was still in a ever-ready mode waiting for Aso.
This continued until the 6:55s when Ratchet probably getting impatient and both began their 3rd round of tussle. This 3rd round was also carried out in a slow pace. Now there were 2 upside down flips, at 7:08s and 7:31s. Still, there were many arm-pushing actions seen in this round. At 7:57s, Aso should be biting Ratchet's pedipalps, probably injecting venom into him. This lasted until 8:31s when Ratchet began to give counter-attack and both got into a tussle again. At 8:43s, Ratchet was looking more stunned than before, while a more alright-looking Aso was still able to project a fierce stance against Ratchet at the 8:46s. Aso, seeing the situation is to his advantage now, decided to go the extra length to use up his final strength, determined to really triumph over Ratchet this time at 8:54s. Lastly, Ratchet surrendered after a 3times counter-attacks to Aso's 3times arm-pushes and both FS went under the leaf.
