Hi everyone,

I realise during cny the forum is like a ghost town but im sure its not because of ppl losing their interest, rather they are pack with other activities so am I .I've never had such tiring yet wonderful cny before in my life. This is a prosperous year for the fighting spiders as I visited their houses ('bai nien') more than I did with humans.

It was an honor hunting with the legendary handsome exspiderking in Ipoh on the first day of cny, I did not expect those places where I hunt when I was a kid turned to some develop hotels and buildings. We managed to scout for new hunting ground and I hope mr handsome will not be too disappointed to go back with small size fs. here are some photos :-

Hi John, I've given away all the tsub caught from HK to bro mindstorm and Akim. Tsub is a huge breed but somehow my heart always have the softest spot for tbha.

Hi Everyone,

I have recovered from my straining yet meaningful trip to sg. It was really a fun thing to do once in a while especially having to meet old timers like bro ken and bro trevelly while graced yet the opportunity to meet die hard hunters such as bro Ricky, bro Randy, bro rudy, bro seng, bro vincent, kim, buaya and bro Ura

My adventure started straight after I park my car in thomson, with marble losing against bro Rudy's red devil followed by losing to bro Randy's sword of Damocles. one thing true about mist after encountering sword of damocles, my fs kept losing....bad sign.. hunted with bro Ricky for a while before Bro Ura appear with Kim emerging later. Indeed bro Ura's fs are huge, he show us one by one his amusing fs with our amazement in awe.

Later evening we parted and meet again for dinner which follow by some entertainment. my pics will tell the rest of my adventures

First of all, congrats to SOD for opening our eyes on winning against bigger size fs. Afterall the predicted one way fight 'big bully small' thingy no longer
exist in my mind, instead it established the fact that the general aggressiveness of our tbha proves vital in combats. I keep thinking myself if mentor appear to be caught at this point of time, even the HK tbha might be its food, will it? Ive seen mentor's size and what it can do to its opponent, therefore I strongly believe even the biggest of tbha (regardless of their origin eg HK, indonesia etc) will have to fight for their life if paired with a fierce sizable aggressive fighter.

Im looking forward to your trip. Am building up a team as we speak (one of my sub adult molted in the size of king kong and will be welcoming SOD 6 more malaysian made sub adult waiting to molt). I have huge confident my current team will perform well this time around and I must request the fight to be in the afternoon or night as some quarter says they might still be in 'sleeping mood' if fought in the morning . hmm...could it be too hot for them in the afternoon if they lose? or too cozy for them at night if they lose? we shall see...

p/s : bro Ken, I appreciate the hospitality shown to me and they shall be returned when the humble giant with golden hand come to KL

I agree with bro Ura that SOD and 1 piece fought well, they deserve some rest or be released into the wild just like all his previous king which has achieve equal or lesser. however these 2 fighters come to term of a champion, I still believe bro Ura can simply pick one out of his 10 fighters and yet win as he has mentioned and I dont think he's kidding right? and maybe Hong sing lost his match because of sickness like my fs in the video below

my recently molted sub adult, 'WASABI' is off king kong's size already.

While I have Nothing to be specially proud off having a newly molted tbha off king kong's size, I still wont hesitate to say that the era of ML or bigger fs is still out there and wont be too difficult to find if you did not lose interest finding them, rather if you keep focusing on tbha from other region/continent you will come to a conclusion of the extinction of ML or bigger size fs in our own region

Correct me if im wrong, you did talk about your retirement plan right? its such a waste for a man of your caliber which has contributed so much to this forum to retire so early but if you plan to do so, I suggest that you do so before SOD beat your fs again..... Im not judging but looking at SOD's form its kinda hard for him to be beaten in this near future and probably all your fs is still moody and might still hallucinate in sg's weather so none could fight well, moreover what's the point of rematch? Amon lost to takeshi once and I dont see any rematch as you have suggested lose is lose win is win right?

Err, pls dont get me wrong ya, Im not trying to be offensive but I did spend months to go through all the details written/talked in and out of this forum one by one and was hoping that your action wont backfire on your own words which has repeatedly happened again and again. Nevertheless, your HK tbha I believe has made at least yourself proud and I yet think you are needed very much indeed in this forum for philosophies which none possesses.

p/s : I hope you will reconsider to delay your retirement plan as your presence will be sorely missed.... if you can note how harmonious the forum is when you were busy training your sub adult from HK months ago. Im sry if your glorious plan of retirement are being knock down by SOD once...hopefully not twice or more otherwise its not that glory anymore leh.... ...

Seems like only an experience dad will know what is the perfect way to tell off a 'moody' and not 'ready child'. Im off old school so way i talk might resemble the way how my dad use to lecture me for spending most of my time 'liak' spider. Im glad old memories came back through your stories. as the matter of fact, I did invest quite a sum for really huge spider in my days. I remember winning an auction by paying $50 for a king spider in my school, with the agreed 5 installment still being paid after the fs pass away lol.

Couldnt bear losing, my pride constantly made excuses to tell, even before a match as a kid. I bet kids today are no different from our time as they too constantly come out with very imaginative excuses for losing, right mr moody, mr ready and mr not ready? some grow into a mature man but some remain a kid in a man's body.

p/s : the word 'not in the mood' and 'not ready yet' seems really convenient, is that why i keep hearing them in the videos? Bro Ricky, your 'kukujiao' still not ready?why didnt see him fight?

I apologise if i have created unpleasant feeling within you through my comment earlier and hope you will still find enjoyment in narrating and watching the fights , who knows u will one day perhaps come out of retirement to find bigger joy in the arena itself.

p/s : try get second opinion from internet or trusted source for your doubts/questions for better digestion, a half cook food which contradict with the recipe will ache your stomach let alone the source of recipe is without prove of health issue...

Was enjoying Bro Randy's consistence post all along even though im kinda busy to post myself recently. Thanks for the effort of posting and making us feel alive in this forum bro Randy..Nice to meet some kakis in sg last weekend especially bro Ricky who has to constantly guide me to my destinations. Hunting was totally different in a group and yea fighting our fs with so many kakis around are definitely an experience not to be forgotten.

Wasabi no doubt is strong, can even win a bigger size fs but still ultimately my salute goes to 1 piece for being stronger even at his age, I think bro Randy has all the proves on sunday fight. Bro Rudy has done a good job in keeping his veteran fs healthy and remain yet the people's choice. overall 5 star experience. thanks to Bro Seng, Bro Randy, bro Ricky, Bro Rudy, uncle kim and his kakis for such a wonderful time.

Too bad bro Ken cannot make it else it will be even merrier..

yea utility 47, wasabi fought 5 round straight cause the fight are not bloodied or furious type so can still carry on. comando will be released due to his age. Big sub seems to be a potential good fighter but too bad he has to be released too cause one of his arm was bitten off by the bu in his nest, didnt realise the bu was pregnant. wasabi bit off as many as 2 of his opponent's leg in that 2 days. hope he will enjoy his days as a warrior in sg.

It is truly indeed an experience which shall be remembered for a long long time.
The joint hunting experience which brought us closer to discover more about fs was
a stamp of historical event when we look back in time to come..fs battle has since
become secondary objective when the emergence of friendship and sharing of knowledge
top the priority of our beloved hobby..

I remember when i first join, Bro Ura told me to be kind to spiders cause i was feeding slings as food to adult fs due to insufficient food source..what he says is true, pls be kind to spiders and your will be prosperous..

It has been a long time since i last posted, Ive been busy with some stuff throughout the year, when i log in i was surprise lowyat stated my last log in was on 21st nov 2011...cant be true...

Anyway, while being able to view the forum without logging in, its really a year without much action...but i guess bro utility 47 and bro mojo tops me on not being in action...

Still, without ur anticipation actively in this forum bro utility47 and bro mojo, I dont think mr exspiderking can talk alone for 2 years like how bro viper and bro mindstorm did to build the foundation of this forum ...but without Mr Randy, we wont be able to witness the progression and evolution of this forum, thanks Randy..

It is grace of technology that makes us remember the big/small fses that was caught previously and i definately regret not taking many pics during my active period..Even forgotten about which fs I caught, where and when, Bro Viper somehow reminded me of my sheer hobby (through the pics) which I took seriously on daily basis but no longer prevail nor the persistency I once had..This prove how much I admire bro Ricky, the name champ dont come without hardwork

With all the international huntings, friendship was build upon our commitment towards our hobby. People that I personally met, hunt, have fun with, makes me realise that this isnt just a hobby anymore...its a group of friends sharing common interest at the same time showing their care and love through various ways, such as buying crickets for each other, fetching each other, sacrificing family time for bouts and hunting which eventually bring us closer...

In times to come, I personally hope that this strong bond build upon the hobby that we all share and love will be passed through generations to come..

Its been a while since I last posted. Glad to see The forum is so much alive after so many years, kudus to all bros which made this happen. There are times when we do not agree with each other but thats part of life. Positives comments are truly indeed the nature of this site but we do have destructive talks from time to time. Well, that only prove one thing, we get stronger outside and inside of this forum regardsless of what each other said because a family will still be a family irregards of occasional uneasy comments. Time to move on to another chapter of this ever growing forum.

As many of you have already know, we just came back from HK spider hunting trip. It was 2 very tiring day as we walked literally 5-10km daily and those muscle aching are being justified by the amount of fs we caught (I believe in the region of 400-600, including those which was released). The trip further strengthened our ties not only sg and malaysia bros but also our counterpart in Hk, bro Xarms which provided excellent hospitality. Best to share our experience for this trip are through photos I believe..
