Would the cheapest solution to start DJing be 2x turntables, mixer, laptop & serato? CDJs are just so expensive!

QUOTE(gunbomb90 @ May 25 2010, 04:38 PM) Depends on what your really interested in. If your going for turntabalism, why not just aim for turntables and if your into mixing just save up your money to get cdj's instead of purchashing cdj's again if you bought your turntable You can do mixing & scratching with just turntables and with DVS you won't have to buy vinyl anymore. Just pay to download. I'm just talking about the most basic way to do things. This post has been edited by tull the prigger: May 26 2010, 08:54 AM |

Anyone know where's the best place to get cartridge & needles? How does ortofon compare to shure m447 and the price difference?
Note: PM me if you're a seller. Reply here if you can recommend. Thanks all! |

Looks like m447 is the winner in terms of price. How does it perform on your DVS?

QUOTE(LanEVOchris @ Jun 10 2010, 11:19 PM) no ark, i was told that someone else here always b**** talk about other ppl's djing skills. i cannot bar-mix wor so now you're on 'sarcastic mode' to everyone else including newbies wanting to learn? everyone here knows you're a star so playing it down won't help. |

QUOTE(Choongster @ Sep 6 2010, 08:15 PM) as a beginner , i would advice you to watch alot of youtube video first that's right. used cdjs & a mixer will be less than 6k and provides more fun & feeland then download those virtual DJ software and play around with the buttons and get yourself familiar with the functions and what it can do once u r familiar, then u can start to explore other places. how i started was with a mixer. my first low end mixer was a VMX100 by behringer, it's nothing but it get you started I connected two laptops to the mixer and run the software seperately on each laptop and then do mixing from there.. then when you are comfortable with mixing and beat matching, then I move on to purchase a turntable... so i had, laptop+mixer+turntable .. when i have enough money i bought another turntable and at least a good mixer .. that was my path ... how you want to take yours, it's really entirely up to you and your budget .. if you have 6K , i would recommend you to go straight for CDJ instead of NS7 .... |

QUOTE(daryldarlie @ Nov 30 2010, 10:15 PM) Heya guys, http://www.midispecialist.com/contact%20us.htmlAm not too sure whether this is the right place to post this (apologies if it isn't) but do you have any idea where I might be able to find a RCA to TRS adapter? I believe it is supposed to look like this? (http://www.webstermusic.com/DUALGOLD_files/imageCPR400G.gif) Any estimation on the cost? Many thanks in advance! cheers! |
