I beg to differ. My RM certainly don't treat me like a king - doesn't even return my calls

Been a CIMB Enrich Mastercard user for almost 2 years now. Based on what I see, (1), (2) and (4) have almost the same accumulation. The difference is CIMB has more miles promotion through their partners, e.g. eating at Tony Roma's gives you 3 MILES for every RM1 spent.

Like I said, CIMB has Enrich partners and other banks don't.

For example, if you bought MAS tickets worth RM2,800....

with AMEX, you get 1,000 Enrich Miles.

with CIMB, you get 700 Enrich Miles PLUS another 2,800 Enrich Miles from MAS = 3,500 Enrich Miles.

In addition, you can only use AMEX at limited places.

FYI, I've managed to accumulate 110,000 Enrich Miles using by CIMB card to date, since Feb last year.

If you spent RM2,800 for your MAS tickets:

CIMB gives you = 2800/4 = 700 Enrich Miles
CIMB Merchant (i.e. MAS) gives you bonus = 2,800 Enrich Miles

So total you get = 700 + 2800 = 3,500 Enrich Miles

The bonus miles only from Enrich Partners, which are not that many (check CIMB website) BUT can be quite rewarding, e.g. Dragon-i group of restaurants give 5 Enrich Miles for every RM1 spent.

There's one thing they don't tell you though....

Some merchants, like car rental services, usually give a discount. But you don't get the discount when you use your CIMB Enrich card - you're basically exchanging the savings for the Enrich Miles, which I believe they have to subsidize a portion. Other merchants like hotels only give the bonus Enrich Miles if you book the room at a certain rate ...usually means paying more than their lowest promo rate.

So basically, the bonus miles from the Partners are only beneficial for certain products and services.
