QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 30 2010, 08:09 PM) However, it should be noted that only people in the USA rely heavily on plastics. In other developed countries such as Western Europe, most people are still using cash. Yes - this is true , very different in some countriesIn UK I can pay nearly everything with plastic , £0.50 for sweets in some supermarket / petrol station no problem , when I went to Iceland - people have credit card with their photo at the back and for small transactions, no signature required (ie. buying coffee) In places like Germany different, people use it a lot less - shop will give you a funny look if you want to pay for pack of cigs and a drink and pay with card. How is it places like 7-11 here, have any min. transactions for card payment? So far only been using cash, as my Malaysia CC not arrived yet |

Ahhhh HSBC
I receive SMS from them that my card was sent on 29th , says if not received in 1 week , to call. So I wait a week, call them - they tell me that card is on the way. Today still no card, so I called again, now they told me the card was already signed for on 29th Hope I don't have to re-order and wait again |

Seems a good idea So because they only give a set away each week, I should do my next shopping as close to 9AM on 26th this month, to get 25% cashback? |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 23 2010, 02:07 AM) Sorry, was under the impression maybe you can use vouchers at other places also, I guess this isn't the case. Wasn't sure how many different places Jusco owned.QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 23 2010, 08:27 AM) Aiyah, I got the sms but did not bother to check and register, missed out the cash back for purchases I made for a camera last week and TV this week Yeah so I guess the only way to make sure to get cashback is to do a transaction 9AM (if you need to buy something that's RM600 or so) on the first part of the week .. even then there's no guarantee I guess. And not many places are open that early I just read the T&C which are as follows: 1) Week 1-6 and week 7-11 Cash back capped at RM150, RM100 and RM75 for Plat, Gold and Other Cards respectively. 2) Each week maximum of RM40,909.00 HSBC Mega Sale cash back to be given out, on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. 3) No cash back for transaction s Travel, Automobile, Direct Marketing, Education, Entertainment, Membership, Utility.Grooming, Health, Home, Hotels, Internet, Charity and Petrol. 4) minimum spend criteria of RM500 required per week, will only stand to receive cash back on the spend made on shopping, dining and groceries. From above, important thing to note is need to spend RM500 a week to be eligible for cash back for that week and the amount is capped at RM150/RM100/RM75 for 2 different period i.e. 5th July -15 Aug and 16 Aug to 19 Sep. E.g. If you spend RM500 a week for 4 weeks in a row before 15 August, you still get maximum cash back of RM150 for Plat and that's not gauranteed as max cash back to be paid out is only RM40,900 per week. QUOTE(ronnie @ Jul 23 2010, 09:23 AM) But you can only buy max RM300(Classic)/RM400(Gold)/RM600(Platinum) to get the 25% rebate and reach the max cap (RM100) for the week.... Yeah, and even then there's no guarantee that you'll get it, no way to know really if the RM40900 for that week has alread been paid out or not |

Yeah better not buy anything on impulse for RM600 just because I think can get 25% cashback, because if I do that - probably won't get any because the RM41K already paid out that week
