i have question regarding easy installment payment. two situations here:
1) swipe cc upon buying and later call the bank to apply for easy installment payment for that purchase 2) shops providing installment payment I know very few about the second method. for first option, lets say the credit limit is 6k, and swipe 3k for an item, 3k make it installment payment, the available balance will be 3k until the payment is cleared after the installment period. my question is, are both methods similar in terms of remaining available balance? |

QUOTE(maru @ Jun 24 2010, 04:40 PM) This question been answer earlier... huh, is it so? the available balance will increase? last time i read the thread, forumers say the available balance for 12 mths(example) will be the same leftover credit limit from the beginning. or is it applied to 2nd situation only?anyway as for both method the calculation is simple : let say CL 6k, installment 3k, so u left 3k to buy other stuffz so for the first month u pay rm300 for installment, ur maximum leftover credit limit that u can swipe is 3k + 300 = 3300 |

QUOTE(hye @ Jun 24 2010, 06:41 PM) Actually it depends on the bank. Some banks policy is to release the CL back and some withheld it until you completely pay. My advise if you could not recover the CL until you finish paying to take it as a sign not to increase debt. (It is a good thing also) I don't understand why people making a fuss about this question coz it has been asked many times. and i asked it because I was uncertained about the differences between two methods not that I want to increase my debt, thanks for your advice. @maru clear now. thanks |

is it using local issued credit card overseas the interest will be higher? if apply 0% interest installment payment provided by the retail shop, is it same like buying in malaysia?
lets say an item costs rm1k in msia, and $428 in singapore. the value is actually the same in both country but when using local cc to buy, is it more worthy buy locally or it is the same? |
